never knew i'd ever see the day i'd get a Panerai Submersible. but after watching Expendables 2, i felt the greater urge to get this baby. been on the hunt for one for quite abit.

as some may know, i was so close to getting a H factory due the limited availability of the Noobs. but was fortunate to have a local member offer up his for sale :)

everything is simply amazing. fit, finish&feel was beyond words. i read up many reviews before really deciding but the moment i got my hands on it, i finally understood all the wonderful things said about this particular piece. Pam Subs arent exactly my area of familiarity. i've wrote it off for so long cux i always felt my 6.25 wrists were too small to wear one. but things are different now ;)

i need you guys to help me out here. the final question in my mind is, is this a V1 or V2.?

Hi cromed
As far as I know the Noob V2 is PAM 243 M-series. If yours is PAM 243 L-series, as you say in the title, it cannot be a V2

The Noob V2 has correctly beveled the corners of the crown guard base, as you can see in below Puretime pics, but your watch semms to have sharp corners.
Anyway, as said above by other members, it seems to have a lot of details of a real V2 (CP, CG and lever, pearl, LSML position... not so clear the bezel polished edges)

- Pics of the caseback, movement and the back of the lugs would be appreciated.

Now I have to leave the forum, If I have later some time I will made more comparisons.

ANYWAY, AWESOME WATCH, CONGRATS, ENJOY IT !!!

there is a rep Bronzo, its just not bronze&i believe its done by another factory, not by the H or Noob.

Here is the V2 http://puretime.co/product/pam243-m-noob-maker-11-ultimate-edition-on-rubber-strap-v2-a7750-free-strap-tool/

Notice the flatter pearl, crown guard shape, polished cannon pinion and L swiss L positioning. If those match, your watch is likely a V2.

thanks for the link!

V.2 , and I do love your pics !

+1 v2

hi ale, thanks for your input. but the 243 V2 did start with an L series before the M came into production.

as for all the mentioned differences between the V1 & V2, i do know all of them. &everything points towards it being a V2, except the CG.

just came across this in snpr's section. might consider strapping this on for this 243. its a different watch tt requires smth different.

Reckon I could be in the market for one of these....

Especially if I lose the 112... 243 Would make a welcome addition to the collection!

It's a V2. The bevel on the crown guard is not as pronounced in real life. On a side note I see they have improved the reset on the crown guard pin over the M series. Nice touch.

Just realized this is my first post. Must have lost my post history together with the "r" in the bear... LOL

yea, strange thing is, the CG bevel on my 243, is visible on the top(where the lever is) but totally non-existent on the bottom part.. no comments on the CG pin&everything else actually.. still cant get enough of my watch! :)

hey dropbear, arent u the guy that used a cutout from a cereal box to portray how ur strap would look like.?

BTW: it is a easy thing to fix with sandpaper or a fine file

yea, i know. i just couldnt be bothered to. its good enough as it is. been wearing it 5days in a row alr. absolutely loving it!

now the question is, if i wanted to make it a watch tt'd really go 1000M below sea level, will normal waterproofing work.?
