I was informed by a TD yesterday that NOOB is no longer producing the 005. Only V6F and H Fac are available.

Is this true?

Have you asked all the TDs? Not doubting your TD but he might have just said that because he only has the other two factory versions available (I actually did not know V6F produced a 005).

I have KW/V6F version of PAM 005 and it is excellent! The same quality case set as found in special 411 and alike boutique versions. I really do like this version. And probably the best made dial.

I went with the HFac version instead.

Well, technically that is no longer the PAM00005, that is the PAM01005. When you change model numbers (and they have 100,000 of them) that is a different watch. Not too thrilled with the model number change though, as the "new" model only changes the lug bars and snap-on case back. They didn't even change the movement to a new one (I guess that's better from a replication standpoint though).

Fair enough. Such a shame though and seeing all the gen buyers complain how this is a step down. Very soon the rep might be a better quality watch than the gen
