[Non TD] Josh and Perfect Clones...

All,
I know that Josh (Perfect Clones) isn't a TD here, but I see him get bashed here enough to post my most recent personal experience with him. I needed to pick up some fairly specific new-run sub parts and found that Josh might be my only option. I emailed him and the results were this:

Good communication and timely email responses
Very fair pricing
Interesting (but easy) payment process
Good tracking updates
Fairly fast delivery to S.E. US
Great stuff - maybe a couple of surprises as well!

Unless something goes terribly awry, this will be my "go to" guy for general components other than the specialized stuff (i.e. Athaya)...

If i can remember from what i read about Josh i think pricing was the issue.

They (josh and a few other dealers) were trying to price fix and this forum was having none of it.

Thats why they are not trusted on here.

That seems to be the consensus. I'm not advocating for him to be a TD here - just offering my experience buying not readily obtainable parts!

Josh and Andrew are great. I've dealt with both. Both VERY fast. But expensive. It's my understanding they were price gouging and making multiple sites all with higher than norm pricing. (Kind of like the old soap wars. Did you know that the majority of soaps are made by like 3 companies? They pretend to be competitors and "brand x is better than brand y" but they're all the same company). Laughing all the way to the bank.
That's kind of like my understanding of what Josh & Andrew did. Regarding dealing with them, I ordered, paid, QC in 24-48 hrs, package in a week. But the communication sucked.
I can say that I've dealt with 4 TDs here. From my personal experience, Lucy has the best communication, followed by Ryan.
But Josh is gtg. You're just going to pay $75-80 too much.

I don't buy anything from them anymore, there is other evidence to suggest they can't be trusted, but I have sent links from their site of anything I need to my trusted dealer who easily beats their price. They have zero benefit from buying from them over any of our TD's

And I wish to god would stop using the site owners first name... that's like saying you went to KFC and you bought off Col. Sanders!

Josh, as well as others are not welcome here.
The Td's in our dealer section do what has to be done
to be a "Trusted Dealer" at RWI. I don't think you should
promote PC, regardless of your experience.
I am surprised a mod has not chimed in yet.

it was my understanding that talking about other (non trusted) dealers here was fine as long as no live links were posted.
why someone would order from a non TD given the benefits of ordering from a TD is beyond me...especially when your spending more money on top of it.

That's what I was trying to say. If you go with those 2 non TD mentioned, your missing the communication from TDs that care about their reputation AND you're way over paying.
