So I wanted to add some watch quality info to my review. To start, I'm rough on watches, I wear them and really only take them off when I'm sticking my arm in a car engine. So far the NTTD has felled a tree, cut it up, and trimmed all my yew bushes and trees along with typical daily work wear, of and lived on 9y.o. boy's wrist for a day. As Melissa described, the crystal is not "scratch proof", however, with all of its adventure, I only have two small scratches in the center of the dial. At some point I'll get to practice some watchmaking and replace it (always an excuse to buy more tools). The spring doesn't last for 24hrs but that's easily expected for the buy-in. While I don't have any actual testing equipment, I don't notice it losing any time over a week of use. The movement for those curious, is a small thing with the centering plastic ring, still very cool to look at, and functions just as well.
A special note for the strap on mine, it shipped with a NATO-style that Melissa sourced: hot-dog. It has no sign of wear, has taken a couple snags without a flinch, can't even really tell which holes I use, and feels great. My other watches have leather straps and look used easily within a week, I can't wear metal (yanks arm hairs all day long). When I buy my next one, I will likely ask Melissa if she can source a NATO strap from the same supplier.
Bottom line: Excellent watches entry level or not, I believe we're getting even more than what we pay for. Get one, you will not be disappointed.
