No more HKAirmail to US?

Hi,

i got info from Toro that they are not shipping via HKairmail anymore to the US but instead only use DHL (which is very expensive).

Does anyone know info about this? Is there currently a problem with US customs?

It used to be no issue at all getting watches shipped to the US.

Just received package from Sead via HKPost (his recommendation). Got here in 3 days.

But also ordered from PsychoSpike/ChazingTime and they recommended DHL.

Seems like different TDs prefer different shippers depending on the situation. I'd just go with TDs since it's on them if there's a problem with the shipment and they have a lot more experience and "skin in the game" to get things right.

I wonder if it has to do that the HKairmail is no longer tracked via USPS.

After it leaves HK you can no longer track it. All you will get is Registered Mail has left for its destination. That is it. After that it is impossible to track
