UPDATE Nightwatch custom EGIZIANO eyeporn...
Hello guys,
Today is tha day finally.
A package arrived to me from Gordon aka. Nightwatch.
First contact with him in this matter 05-02-2011, can you belive this?!
Watch details:
Movement: Swiss Unitas 6497 with Swan Neck and Dagger
Vintage Hands
Hands ageing and light lume
EGI case
Solid Plexi-(thick) (made on a lathe and hand polished)
Case reworking
1) Case, Case Back and bezel aged
2) Crown Guard lever aged and lever made firm
3) New pearl added (12 o'clock)
4) Case High lights buffed and polished
Custom requested, coloured and aged brown dial.
Lug Holes: The internal and external holes that DSN provide are completely out of alignment, therefore a new hole has to be made that's larger to take the new large lug bars, however, the location and alignment of the new holes has to be precise. Both holes have also been relocated further forward along the lugs, this gives greater clearance for the strap (a common problem with the DSN case as straps scuff against the case)...A set of Jigs have also been made and a special cutting tool bought so that the holes are cut very precisely... what this means is that the new larger hole is cut so that it goes through the existing hole yet moves forward along the lug at the same time so that one only hole can be seen. Without all this then a simple drill would pull away from the new hole that's being drilled into the existing hole as the two are very close together... The case lugs are then threaded at two ends.
Lugs: A new set of Lug bars are machine made, each one is turned to the exact size on a lathe and both ends are rounded and polished. One end is threaded and the tops of the bars (both sides) are domed shaped. There's also a slot milled into on side for the screwdriver to fit, both bars are 316 grade stainless steel.
Case Machining: Case machined on the inside to remove metal and open up the area around the dial to take a large dial with sub dial. Also an area above the dial is machined to take a larger Plexi.
Sandwich Dial Full size with sub dial with engraving and text colour overlay includes dial aging and fading and resin indices (numbers)

Thx for watching.
