Hi

Looking to buy my next pam... I'm have two options: 372 or 127; how do these 2 match up to each other (I know 127 is closer to gen right?)

Thanks

Yes PAM 127 is MUCH closer to gen deifnitely

Besides PAM 372 reps are now in evolution and we will see new versions in the near future
Please don't ask about new versions and release date. I really DON'T KNOW it

Get both. Both are close to gen. If you can only get one, it depends. Of you want a ggreat genlike rep of a $15-25k+ watch with more decorated look, second hand etc - go for the 127. If you want something where the gen is in a more realistic and believable middle class price range and that is sleek and simple (a base style) - get 372.

I still think you should get both! You'll probably end up with both anyway, so why fight it?

Thansk for these first prompt responses... Now I actually started with PAMs then got to AP more... but now considering a PAM again, I'd like to have something else than a PAM111, PAM292, PAM299 which I had before. The 372 with superclone movement is good quality? I've read that it gains minutes after a few hours? Is this true?

I've also searched for some comparison pics side by side but didn't find any; if anyone has some of those that would be great thanks!

If anyone can complete the pros and cons:

127
- pros: sapphire, second hand, more gen like
- cons: crystal issues(?)

372
- pros: ?
- cons: plexi (I hate scratches) no second hand, movement(?)

No guarantee that you will have crystal issues on the 127. Some are good and there is one that you can have put on as a mod that has better distortion free characteristics. Take a look in the Supporting Vendors section at Marlins Watch garage for the all asian 127. Those mods that can be done on a 127 should help your decision! I have not investigated the 372, so unfortunately I can't comment on that model.

I used to be a big fan of OEM Panerai straps. Then I was introduced to Simona DiStefano. The Bentley of watch straps.

Simona is a great strap and very comfortable. I have found the oem slightly softer, but that could just be that I am comparing a JV to a Simona gator.

Simona is great, but a Fiddy requires some chunky custom made strap in my opinion and for my taste ;)

@OP: I'd get the 127 now and wait for a better release of the 372, which will come soon. The 127 is not getting any better out of the box for now.
