These last few months several new versions of the Aquaracer Calibre 5 300m with 43 mm case have been introduced.
There's the version with the Seiko NH35A 24J automatic movement, with the new 2016 Tag logo (see e.g. http://puretime03.com/aquaracer-300...black-textured-dial-on-ss-bracelet-nh35a.html).
Then there's also the 2015 version (with old logo) with an Asia 23J Automatic Movement, a steal at $ 138 (http://www.ttw-138.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=41_211&products_id=16257).
Also the 41 mm version with a quartz movement has become available (http://www.ttw-138.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=41_211&products_id=16212).
And now, if that's not enough, PT and Intime introduced this week the "Aquaracer Calibre 5 SS MKF 1:1 Best Edition" with an A2824 movement. According to Intime:
"MK Spent a year to make this to be perfect, 1:1 replicated from a genuine sample.
1. 1:1 Replicated the dial, hands, bracelet and clasp from a genuine sample.
2. Very High-Quality silver plated on bezel number as genuine.
3. 1:1 same thickness as genuine."
And I have to say, at first glance it looks fantastic. But then you realise that MK has made a momentous error:
the "rider tabs" (or whatever they're called) are all in the wrong postion on the bezel. Instead of sitting at 5 min., 15 min., 25 min. etc like on the gen, this rep has them sitting at 0 min., 10 min., 20 min. etc.

Now I ask myself, if you have bought the genuine watch to study it, and spend a year in perfecting a replica, how can you overlook this??
Or is this just a pre-QC prototype that PT and Intime have used to display on their site, because this fault seems easy to correct: just rotate the bezel 5 minutes worth (30 degrees) before inserting the ceramic inlay and fixing it to the case.
Or perhaps I'm overlooking something and this is not a mistake at all?
