Hey Guys and Girls,

As the title states I'm looking to purchase my first rep ASAP and just cant go past a Panerai.

Very new here so please don't flame, Im looking for a PAM312, PAM112 or similar that is most accurate (guys in office will pick it up if rubbish).

Any help, pointers or links to great products would be GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

First advice, be patient. If you want to rush things, you're going to bring yourself trouble.

Secondly... Have you used the search function? You won't get very far just by asking. A little self research goes a loooooooooooooong way.
ALE's PAM guide is gold in this part of the forums and it's impossible to miss it.

I'm new myself and have only been looking extensively into PAM Subs and just a little on a few others but what I do know about the 112 is... There's really no telling it's a rep unless the guys in your office want to have a look at it off your wrist with an eye loupe. The main inaccuracies are the swan neck details, screw length, movement plate engravings and lume quality. But seriously though... You're NOT going to see any of that just by turning the watch over.
Inaccurate is an overstatement I'd say because they're 99% similar to gen if you're not magnifying things.

Gen vs rep comparison for 312 should be good for you to decide where the inaccuracies are. KW vs ZF will be good to decide which factory you'd like to go with.

Between 112 and 312, the 112 is super rep compared to 312 being only first class. This is mostly because the 312 has a display caseback that shows the 7750 (or seagull) movement DECORATED as the P9000 and these are just NEVER going to be accurate. Again to be fair, unless you're taking the watch off your wrist for the guys in your office.. they would have no clue.

Before deciding which watch you want, decide your TD first and whoever you choose should be able to get you the watch you want - even if it's not on their website.

Welcome and good luck! :punk:

Thanks for the reply mate, appreciated.

As I said very new to this and keen to get going but I won't rush into it, hence the asking for advice from people with experience.
Just trying to get the best product for my money, as we all would want.

Yeah been reading ALE's guide all day lol (not been very productive work wise) very very helpful, cheers to the man!

Great suggestion ihs0yz, thanks.

I'm about to pull the trigger for the 312 with Asian mov. but what you suggest between ZF and KW?

Many thanks

Hi! If you look into the links I shared on the post I made, you should be able to decide on which versions will be best for you.

But as a summary, KW would be the version to go with. Overall build QUALITY is much better than ZF (this is true with MOST other KW vs ZF productions!)

KW vs GEN however... KW's font on the dial is SLIGHTLY darker in colour than gen, this would be the easiest tell. I'm not sure if you would notice if you didn't have a gen to compare to side by side though! And KW's CG pin and CG lever can be a miss. Again, this information is directly from this thread: https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb...2-KW-V3-Review-Comparison-with-GEN-PICS-HEAVY

As for movement.. on puretime at the moment, you have a choice between 23J and A7750 with the 23J being $50 cheaper. I have to be honest and say I don't know too much about "23J", very generic term! The A7750 however, is a clone of the Valjoux 7750 movement. Very very common movement in gen swiss watches (non in-house movements) with chrono. BUT it is not a DIRECT clone! Some parts WILL NOT fit. Hands will not be 100% compatible (I think subdial only) and balance wheels are completely different. The other parts may not fit directly but I have not found any information on that so far..

Anyway, good luck to you too in finally deciding which will be best for you!
