Hello together!

I am Andreas from Germany and want to buy my 1st clone watch (well knowing that it will not be my last 😉).

I like to have an Omega and my favorites are:
- Seamaster Diver 300m (ceramic dial) in black
- Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional

I already dived into several posts and don’t want to bother you with questions.
Nevertheless any recommendations for me? I consider the Seamaster might be the higher quality clone, right? Any special Version to search for? ZF, V2?
I wrote mail to Puretime to ask for.

Anything I should take care about deliveries to Germany? Direct or via UK?

If anybody is in the mood to repeat the same answers, thanks.
Keep on reading… ;-)

You won't be able to find a good Moonwatch rep due to the movement it has and the subdial positions it has. The movement they use for it on reps is the Seagull ST19 that has a wider subdial space than the 1861/3861 movements. They just look bad.

Seamasters, I prefer VSF for them.

What do you think about „No time to die“ Edition? Or better to take the normal one?

Hi and welcome to RWI! Glad you found your way here.

Please take some time to read the sticky threads in the new members area (all subsections), learn the basic forum rules and get some very good advice in the process. A number of questions has already been answered there, this is just an example:

As a new subscriber, you've already been directed to this thread, please read carefully and look through the linked additional threads:

Another good thread to read to understand where RWI comes from and some fundamentals is this:

Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.

If you intend to sell, read the sales rules and all stickies in the sales section with particular care and make sure you understand each single rule. Sales rules infraction is taken very seriously here. As a new member you are not eligible to sell. Using the sales section is a privilege, eligibility must be earned, make sure you know and understand how.

For anything else, feel free to reach out to @eBoy or me, we're happy to assist, advise, direct, explain. Don't hesitate.

Don't be afraid to post noob questions in the new members area. In doubt, use the flame free zone. If you feel uncomfortable anywhere in the new members area, please reach out to @eBoy or me. Mutual respect is of utmost importance to us. On the other hand, we're grown-ups and are supposed to be able to deal with a bit of irony, don't take it personally, ever, a bit of irony never harmed anyone. This forum is a treasure trove of information and benefits from the engagement of all members who take their time to share their knowledge, help each other out and have some fun. We hope that you'll benefit and enjoy this platform as well as contribute positively to it.

If at any point you feel to contribute also on another level, feel free to pm the boss (trailboss99) to become a supporter and get some little perks with the status (editing rights, for example).

Enjoy the forum.

Finally I ordered the Seamaster NTTD by Jtime. Contact and support (upfront payment) was very reactive and helpful.
Let’s hope that the performance (after payment) will remain like this.

BTW: Does anybody has a recommendation for an IWC Ingenieur 😉

How was your experience with payment for your Jtime purchase? I am probably going to use them to source an Omega I have been eyeing.... did you wire transfer? Use credit card? Any advice would be great!

I did a transfer with Wise. You need to create an account there and then the transfer cost are quite low. Advantage next to the low cost is the speed of transfer. You know it takes time to take the decision to buy but when the decision is done every second counts 😉. Li will give you his Wise data after you selected the payment method.
Are you already in contact with Li? Do so to make sure the model is available. Upfront clarification and contact is always a good advice.

Hi Rudiru,

Watch looks great keen to get hold of one myself.
The common issues that come up with the nttd seamaster seem to be:

1. A pink hue on the hand lume.
2. An issue on the crown which causes the thread to fail in the tube.

Have you experienced or seen either of these since your purchase as you've now had it about a week?

Be great to get some first hand info.

Cheers

Hi Timeismyenemy,

honestly I do not see pink if I look at the hands of my watch. I checked at daylight in front of an Omega Store and tried to compare with the Gen. For me it was OK. Picture at night I will add.

The crown issue made me also worried. I have no issues up to now but I also do not srew the crown every day. I don´t care about seconds and wear the watch nearly daily, as I realy like it. So I hope with limited and carfull use I am able to avoid having this issue.

Cheers

Looks the dogs proverbials!

Hopefully you'll avoid the crown/thread issue.

That's the only thing holding me back at the moment.

I wonder if there is any intention of a v5 from the factorys with a view to addressing the crown problem?!

Also not sure if it effects all seamasters or just the nttd. The titanium case may play a part in the fault?!

All that said, fingers crossed it serves you well.
