Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself, and say what a great forum this is! I've been looking everywhere for somewhere/someone to discuss the mutual love of watches and their technicalities!
I'm an avid Chronograph fan to be honest, I also sell replica's which I source from the Far East.
Anyway, I saw somewhere that someone mentioned putting a genuine Navitimer dial onto a rep. Well, I tried it and the result wasn't great. It worked, but not smoothly. First, the gen dial is 1.5mm too big to fit under the slide rule. So I had to file off the edge of the dial. Its made of brass I think, and took ages! After that, the movt goes straight on. The date wheel however, is misaligned not only in depth, but also in radius! Also, you can see that the dial isn't in top condition, and the luminous dots had been added to with some generic luminous paint. Altogether a bit rough looking.

Needless to say, after this experiment I took it apart and reverted it back to the Arabic rep dial, and also brushed the case and bracelet...as a prototype to my mext mod: I think I'll try to obtain a Nav Fighters and brush that...

Thanks for posting this. I have never seen any clarification as to the compatibility of gen dials with the 3-6-9 navi. This clears it up!

I just missed out on an eBay auction for a gen dial. I checked on it with an hour left, then I completely forgot to go back when it was ending. I'll get my hands on one some day. Welcome to the forum.

I've got three gen Breitling dials, not sure which one I want to keep tho?

Silver Navitimer 7750 (as pictured previously), modified diameter.

Blue Navitimer 7750 with gold batons, registers @ 3,6 & 9. Good original cond., but I may get a gen 7750 to fit onto this.

Blue Emergency (civilian) - good cond.

My intention was to fit the real movts with these dials, or in the case of the Emergency; modify a quartz movt - but I dont see that happening to be honest! :?

Hi thanks for that, but I thought a genuine 7750 was 3,6 & 9?
Or do ppl call it that even though its a variant?

Anyway, I've been offered a gen '7750' with date and dials at 369. Still pondering whether to do it though...?
