Hello everybody,

First of all I would like to thank you for the approval. I always wanted a “good” watch but as you can imagine I couldn’t afford it. So, now that I’ve discovered the replica “world” I think that is the appropriate time to do my first purchase. My preference has to do for a watch with a chronograph and without a bracelet.

So, for the last couple of days I’ve been reading the forum as a maniac in order to understand as much as I can (however there is so much information on the forum that it would take me weeks to sort it all out in my head).

For now, I have singled out a few options, which I present below:

1. OMEGA - Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon "Black" CER/NY Blk OMF V2 A7750
This is “love at first site” but I’m concerned by the fact that I read that in general speedmasters are not that good replica, whatever this means (Sead also told me that)
2. IWC - Pilot Chrono Royal Maces CER/RU Black TWF A7750
3. IWC - Top Gun CER/NY Black/Blue V6F Asia 7750
4. TAG - Carrera Cal. HEUER 01 43mm Black CER/RU Blk XF A1887

So, anything in particular that i should look out for, any suggestions/opinions are welcome.
Thanks again.

Hi and welcome to RWI! Glad you found your way here.

Unfortunately I'm not knowledgeable of any of the watches you listed.
Yes, the speedy rep isn't well regarded, mainly, afaik, because of the relative position of the subdials, completely different from gen. I don't know if in addition the this aesthetic flaw the build quality isn't good, too. On the other hand, if you like it and don't care, why not giving it a try? There's heaps of experienced members here who enjoy their cheapies, quartzes and whatnot. It's entirely up to you. Before making a choice, I'd read a bit about movements in the tech section to be aware of what you are buying, puts expectations into perspective.

Please take some time to read the sticky threads in the new members area (all subsections), learn the basic forum rules and get some very good advice in the process. A number of questions has already been answered there, this is just an example:

As a new subscriber, you've already been directed to this thread, please read carefully and look through the linked additional threads:

Another good thread to read to understand where RWI comes from and some fundamentals is this:

Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.

If you intend to sell, read the sales rules and all stickies in the sales section with particular care and make sure you understand each single rule. Sales rules infraction is taken very seriously here. As a new member you are not eligible to sell. Using the sales section is a privilege, eligibility must be earned, make sure you know and understand how.

For anything else, feel free to reach out to @eBoy or me, we're happy to assist, advise, direct, explain. Don't hesitate.

This forum is a treasure trove of information and benefits from the engagement of all members who take their time to share their knowledge, help each other out and have some fun. We hope that you'll benefit and enjoy this platform as well as contribute positively to it.

If at any point you feel to contribute also on another level, feel free to pm the boss (trailboss99) to become a supporter and get some little perks with the status (editing rights, for example).

Enjoy the forum.
