Hi,

My Brother in law has a Rep Marine Chronograph and the decorative ring around the power reserve meter has come loose and is loose inside the watch face. I'm trying to get to the face so I can re-attach the ring but I am having difficulty.

Can anyone advise me as to how I can get to the watch face?

On a related note, can anyone accurately tell me what movement this is? I can't find any markings on it.

Pretty sure that's a 21J with a modification for the power reserve. Standard procedure would be to pull the stem (there should be a small button near the stem that when pressed allows the stem to be pulled out - but don't press too hard or you'll damage it) out CAREFULLY. Then look for any screws securing the movement to the case, and the whole case/face should drop right out.

Did you already rotate the face? It looks like the date doesn't line up with the cyclops, but that could just be the photo.

If it's not worth too much, feel free to tinker, but usually this kind of delicate work would be best to be done by a watchsmith.
