New watch received Plaxi cracked: need advice

Hi forum.
One of my first post here.
I've been a lurker most of the time in the forum:whistling:, but a fanatic follower of PAM section.
I want to ask for your wisdom in how to proceed.
Days ago received a watch from a TD. Previous QC pics looks OK.
But when received, under close inspection (under the plastic film), I discovered a tiny crack in the new plexi.
Watch was well padded, just undeveloped, without any use, so I assumed that was there barely noticeable in the QC pics.
I contacted the TD, and he offered me to return the watch to CN for an exchange.
Here is my doubt. To send the watch to China or ask for a Plexi replacement.
Here are some pics.
The crack is just in the middle of the crystal plexi, seen from the front it is not visible, but in all the other angles and positions is clearly noticeable and can be felt under the finger.

Well, if you are handy with watch tools, ask the TD if he can send you the spare plexi. If not, it would be better off sending the watch back and letting the TD handle the repair/replacement.

Same happened to me twice now and in one I sent back at my cost and the other the dealer sent me a new plexi.

Maybe what u could do is ;
1. Change a plexi, get td to send u one..u doesn't cost much.
If there's no one nearby to do it for u , jut send back the watch , they will replace it, if they are TD.
2. Leave it as it adds character to the watch like most of us do.
3. Offer it in m2m at a loss.

Firstly, grats on the beauty. How can u bear to not want to slap this on your wrist and rock on right away! Anyways, if you don't mind the wait and being apart from it, send it back to the TD, save u all the hassle. But if I were u, I'd agree with Pratt, to leave it as it is. Cheers bud!

I think I'm gonna keep it as is....
I've been reading and most of forum membres decide not to send back to CN unless DOA or very faulty watch.
So, I changed the strap and began to use it, anyway I will ask for the TD to send me a new plexi if I change my mind to replace it.
Will update some new pictures later.

Mmmmm....TD will not send me a new plexi...he insist to return the watch for a replacement there...

I would suggest to ask/insist again the TD for a new plexi, then find someone to replace it at your city, you'll find one for sure.
In the meantime, enjoy it as it is. By doing this "the waitting " will pass unnoticed, and at the end you'll have a mint condition watch.

I read your post with interest as had similar experience with a TD here and a cracked plexi on a 448. I sent it back as there were other issues with the watch. It came back repaired but just not any good so sadly its going back home to China for a full refund as I have two other watches to go back for repair. It is annoying as I did ask for parts to repair them and was told if I am lucky they can "try to get a plexi as a gift for me" but new plates dials etc no chance, just send back for repair...

Mmmm....no other previous experiencies, but the last communication with TD was "...need to be fixed at factory which is no cost for me, who will pay for the 449 plexi?"....wich left no chance for a new ask/insist option IMO....any suggestions? Ask a mod?
