New VSF Pam 320 GMT!

HI guys,

I just saw that the 320 GMT is available from the VSF!! IS this on par with the 312 VSF almost super rep quality???

I have always loved the GMT look and so if the 320 comes as good as the 312 VSF then I'll defo go the 320 way

The 320 is as good as the 312 in terms of the usual case construction, crystal, dial and the movement. However, it does have the inaccurate GMT function, which is 24 hours instead of 12 hours on the gen.

Thanks but I am uncertain of the difference. I'll try to research it. Does it mean that there will be an error in the functioning of the watch? Will the gmt be wrong our incorrect?

The GMT will function correctly as a 24hour GMT. But it is incorrect as the gen has a 12-hour GMT (which enables the GMT hand to be hidden behind the hour hand as they are synchronized).

No. The PAM312, which is the better rep, can only be classified as a First Class rep, high level. So the PAM320 GMT would be slightly lower than that, probably medium level.

There is no real P.9001 clone. It is merely a P.9000 rep movement with a faux P.R. display at the back. If only VSF would release a PAM531 with the P.9003 rep movement, that would be accurate as the gen PAM531 has a 24 hour GMT.

In a non-submersible configuration and non-47mm size, I don't think there's any available. If you're still contemplating the PAM320 it turns out VSF did update the movement to look like gen.

Well not VSF, but from its sibling factory XF (I guess that factory naming is out the window :lmao: ).

Crystal will most likely fit. But as the rep movement is not an exact copy of the gen movement, there might be some placement/spacing constraints, especially with the date window and the subdial.

Yes, the PAM531 is not a super rep (and won't be even with a movement upgrade to the latest P.9xxx rep movement) but he was trying to help.
