I stumbled on this site after a friend gave me one of the cheaper reps ($150) to play with. As a Rolex gen owner, the concept got me very curious about the level of detail that goes into making a Super clone, the endless chase for perfection and massive community around the Rep world. I have to admit, I learned more about watch making, movements and the vernacular that goes with the concept in one week vs. what I thought I knew about my own gens over the years. Such an interesting hobby...
I've read all the newbie stickies and many forums thus far. Very informative and self guided. Nice efforts all around.
All this information triggered an itch, so I made my first purchase with Ryan (Intime). It took 4 days to go from payment to "shipped"status (pretty swift if you ask me). So far Ryan is been accommodating.

I'm also seeking a VSF Kermit but waiting to receive my first order. On the fence between VSF and Clean's version of the SUBMARINER 41MM 126610 LV. I understand Clean's version is a VR3235 is a hybrid movement leftover from the previous model. Don't really care if its 40 vs. 70 hours but if the movement is that much better perhaps I'll lean towards VSF... I've read I can't go wrong with either but the VSF has better resale value (on RWI). Unknown if true.
Why am I buying a rep? I think it's a good way to try out a watch before investing in a new gen in the same model. Also curious to compare them with the real thing.... Anyway, hello world!
