New to replicas and this forum, already spending way too much time here lol

Hey guys, so i've always liked watches and got more into it recently when buying (and selling) my first genuine rolex datejust 41, which i ultimately decided it wasn't a great idea since the whole owning process was a hassle.

I rarely wore it outside unless i went to a nice dinner/event, constantly being worried about losing it, getting robbed or whatever. I know the chances are extremely small but hey it wasn't something i felt comfortable losing.

Luckily it sold pretty fast, but quickly after i felt kinda naked without having a "proper" watch, since my tissots are not in the same ball park.
Fast forward a couple months i go to greece for yearly vacation and i stumble upon a replica shop. I never saw myself wearing them because of the stigma around fakes, but for fun i decided to spend some bucks and get a replica. Considering the price it felt impressive to me how something 20x cheaper could look NOT 20x worse and pretty damn close at least visually.

But even that lead to some discoveries and if i actually want to live with a rep day to day, i would preffer a crown thats not completely janky, the chromalight being visible for more than 5minutes after blasting a flashlight on it, the reserve lasting longer than 24hours etc.
So here i am, stumbled upon this place and already i'm spending way too much time reading about all of this, considering buying a nice rep from elliot for around 450usd (since i dont know why they are so much cheaper) which should get me the improvements i want or hope at least.

Here's the current cheap DJ41 from greece! Would be nice what mechanism is in it but i guess nothing special/worth opening up.

Yes, your rep DJ is a cheapy, but we all need to start somewhere. TBH it is better quality than my first one. I wore mine for 5 years not realizing what a POC it was.

Clearly it is, but i'm curious how do you guys spot it so fast even the different quality replicas, i'm guessing there's certain tell signs that come with experience, like gaps prints and what not?

for starters, look at the date through the date window, then compare it to pics of the gen, or one of the higher quality reps. From that point on the rest doesnt really matter (sorry to say).

Yeah makes sense the date was weirdly half down since the bracelet kinda gets stuck while pushing it in and moves the date slightly...this i would hope to avoid with a higher quality replica i suppose...Kinda crazy that from a 50dollar to a 400dollar replica things don't really change much and then the next gap is at 10.000up haha

For your watch is is the Rehaut for example (the inner ring) Letters are not aligned with the "minutes"
