As far as out of the box AP reps go, I have heard nothing but excellent things about the ROO Chronopassion.
No idea on the quality of these rubber rep straps, but its always a good idea to spend a little $ to make the watch look truly stunning with a quality strap.

HKTan, Donerix, and AP Bands are some of the bigger strapmakers for Audemars Piguet watches (ROO). A proper black hornback strap would look excellent on that I think.

EDIT:
Also, very generally speaking, the $500 range AP replicas all seem to be very high quality. I just bought my first one (ROO Driver's Boutique) and it looks fantastic!

Very nice watch indeed, I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you pull the trigger on it.

However, this one here might also be worth some consideration, it's going to be my next AP purchase.........

I have one

Hi,
Though AP's look good i have always been more drawn to Hublot's. However, seeing one on a wrist recently (albeit a fake one) I quite like the idea of one now...so how do you guys rate this one in the scheme of things...

Thanks v. much! :)

Hi PhilS

This watch is awesome!! with personality and very smart, sporty and dressing at the same time.

I know it very well because I have one three months ago
The watch is very accurate with few flaws, and the finish is amazing.
Please bear in mind it is very very grey!!. It looks very different than other SS AP. But the combination sandblasted-polish on the bezel is amazing!!
The rubber strap is very good and suit well the watch. you don't need change it for the moment. But, in the future could be a good idea.

The only problem of this watch is the material is made of.
The case and bezel are true Titanium and this metal are softer than SS
Therefore, is very delicated and scratches very easy!!
If you want the watch to wear it everyday, Chronopassion is not your choice!!!
I wear mine maximun one time per week and only if I am going to my office or calm activities.
Believe me, it is a big problem.

If you like HUBLOTS there are too, very very good choices and less delicate.
If you are interested in Hublot I can give you some advices. Just tell me what are your idea.
Good luck

Thanks guys...very helpful :)

Nice watch Steelfish...is that the same range (apart from being titanium?)

Ale7575, interesting regarding the titanium. Which alternative would you recommend?

As for Hublots, i am holding off on one of those as they have just started introducing the V6 range, so waiting to see which ones become available there.

Thanks Again
Phil

PhilS, the AP ROO Survivor that Steelfish posted is just a limited edition ROO. It's quite nice looking in any situation.

You could just avoid titanium watches and go for any stainless AP ROO. If you like that grey dial the Chronopassion has, the Grey Themes is similar. You could also just go for the standard Black Themes. Both would be more resistant to getting scratched up.

BTW, the lume on the V3 is outstanding

Another choice would be the AP ROO Black Themes, looks a bid like the CP but out of SS

Dear PhilS

I see you are quickly learning ! For HBB we all are waiting for V6 !!
But, bear in mind there are already at this moment HBB reps awesome. Following Chronopassion style there are: Ice Bang, Black Magic or All Black.

Concerning AP I agree completely guru and vpx, you have the ROO Themes grey or black. And, even, the new Diver from Noob factory (guru know it well, LOL)

The more closed to Chronopassion is the ROO grey Themes. It has not the mysterious character of the Chronopassion, but it is amazing and tough.

This above is from Puretime. You can get it on rubber strap, black leather and SS bracelet.
But consult experts and web if the dial is accurate with black numerals.

Here you are other grey Themes from Puretime
It has grey numerals. You can get it on rubber, leather and SS bracelet.

Of course, you can find these reps in other TD

Good luck

I just got an AP Chronopassion last week. My first step into the rep world and was slightly anxious about things. So far, so good. Order took 3 business days to get from China to UK. Heres the watch:

34pdqo1.jpg

Visually stunning, and the strap is better quality than I thought it was going to be.

Seconds at 12 is slightly choppy so will send it off for a service - who comes recommended in EU??? Also, one or two of the bezel screws are a touch more "seated" than they should be - when its serviced can they be aligned so that they are completely flush???

Lume is ok, and AR isn't something that I'm considering right now either, and its not on the gen either as far as I know.

Apologies for the crap iPhone pic!

Domi is busy... 2 -3 month waiting list for a service.
The gen does not have AR but a much better crystal, so the watch looks much better with the Ar, believe me.
Just align the screws by yourself, pretty simple
