Not really being a strap guy, i needed to find a SS bracelet that would compliment the 243.

If i could sport a leather strap on my 6" wrist without it looking stupid, I would probably do so.

But unfortunately, my cards have been dealt, so i do the best with what i have to work with.

Why don't leather straps look good to you? I have made straps for many a 6" wrist that look great to me.

Possibly because ive never had a custom strap made for me, but here are my reasons...

1: i like to wear my watch a little loose, ive never seen a loose strap look good, i think they look better snug. A loose starp makes my wrist look that much skinnier.

2: very hard to get the buckle centered ( once again probably because it was not custom made)

3: i dont like the way the unsecured end of the strap sticks out. I think it exaggerates the skinniness of my wrist. Kind of like a belt that is too long.

4: i dont like the way that a buckled strap is doubled up on one side of my wrist while the other side is only single layer.

5: most of the straps i have seen are too thin for my liking, would need to be at least 5mm to 6mm thick.

I like the mesh a lot more than the link bracelet. If you want a bracelet to match the huge case, something non-tapered might look better. But, IMO, you shouldnt be worries about a leather strap on a 6" wrist... you should be worried about a HUGE watch on a 6" wrist.

Thanks Strodda, but im really not worried about that.. I like the watch.
If they had a similar cased watch in a smaller size i probably would have condidered it. The only 2 pams i like are the 243 and the 305.
The 305 is 47 mm, this is 44. So thats why i chose it.

But i think the bracelet makes the watch look a little smaller...kind of?

I think the watch is too big for your wrist personally no matter what bracelet or strap you have it on. The bracelet makes it look beefier even , like you could swing it like a weapon if you had to haha

Some of your reasons could be fixed by getting a custom made strap. But a couple of them are subjective and that's fine. I personally enjoy wearing the steel Panerai bracelet every now and again. But the bracelets you show make the head look larger IMO.

don't feel bad dude, there is a fix for a skinny wrist. my 111 looked kinda silly on me so I got myself a 20lb dumbbell, I've been curling it with just my wrist for the past 2 weeks or so and I went from 6.5 to 6.6 in 2 weeks time. so keep hope alive. another month or so I hope I'll git it to 6.7.

Just order a custom leather, have it tapered to 22mm at buckle and custom-measure-punch holes and you will have yourself a beautiful combo to wear. This bracelet or mesh stuff is a monstrosity in my opinion...if you insist on going down bracelet path, why not to buy a proper pam bracelet, at least it will look somewhat more design-aligned with the watch than these things you have it on on the photos.
