New rolex too fast !

Hi RWI peeps,

I've recently just bought my first replica
the Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA 116660 Jacques Piccard Edition (Correct Dial) from puretime.co
The watch looks beautiful and i was overly ecstatic when my wrist first touched that piece of steel
HOWEVER, the watch is running WAY too fast is this a normal issue?
what should i do from here on?

I know and i contacted a few of the watch smith's around my area (sydney) and they don't want to touch or even hear of a replica. They even told me off for purchasing one !
i am a bit stuck on options at the moment...

try the watchsmiths on our forum...

that would require you to send the watch overseas though..

or you can do a search in the tutorial section if you wish to try your hand out on regulating the movement yourself..

by the way, how fast is the watch gaining per 24 hours or per hour?

it is 3-4 hours ahead of time within 24 hours
its super fast !
i did not even expect this to be a problem with my first replica watch. I though the only issue would be how it looked :S

The balance spring will be damaged or does not work with the full length. The the watch increases speed. That should be a quick fix for a watchsmith, and probably you can help yourself. Hit the watch one or two timer with face down in your hand, that might sort the balance spring new. It helps with Seikos - with the 7S26 movements that error happens quite often. I guess that the carrier did throw the package a bit, that may result in this.

You must adjust the alternation with chronocomparator.
Or move them to the "chelas" of the caliber (A2836) on the "-", but very little. Try it and see what happens.
The alternanaze expected to drop and the spiral fluctuate less.
To change the position just use a small screwdriver.

Juino, 4hrs a day is far more than you can adjust mate, it's either a tangled/damaged hair spring or it needs a trip thu the demag. It's winging it's way to Trailie for a quick look see.

But one of my gen Rolly (16622) , run 2 hours a day.
I adjusted with the key Microstella the spiral and then has settled +5 sec.day.
I try to contribute with my experience....
If I write crap is not so much to write...
I'm not interested in the number of posts...................:lol:
To me it goes from 23 ° in the house, at a temperature of -5 ° outside.
This affects a lot of the movement of a watch.

You can't get rid of two hours with Microstella or ETACHRON.... I guess you sorted the hairspring by accident with your Rolex. The ETACHRON covers also not a minute / 24 hours.

I did not mean that the Microstella you can correct errors of 172.800 seconds , it says the name of the key , micro.
As you read , I wrote to move the Mass Regulator of very little , but just to see if the alternations change. In some cases of watches with new Caliber , just move a little the Mass Regulator to completely change the oscillation of the spiral. I don't know the reason for this "block" , but that happens sometimes.
This is what I meant.
For my Rolly , is the same thing happened.
Cold and heat sudden change the motion of the watch.....
But they can never give an error of 2/4 hours of a total of 24.
Mine was a suggestion to try.........

Dangerous for a newbie to try that I think - needs a very very light hand or you snap the hairspring

(ask me how many I broke trying to learn how light a touch was required )

Any watchmaker can do this repair.
On the forum there are many.
If you do not know a watchmaker who repairs reps in your city , you can contact a watchmaker here at RWI.

I'm also 'encouraging' David to try a little modding, we'll see how he goes with my PO.

he opened it up and said it needs a new movement?!

so i'm going to send it back to puretime
i wonder what happened given there reputation...

anyways he returned it to me at no charge
but for some reason it runs at the correct pace now ?

i am thinking if i should bother to send it off or not given Daniel's observation

Did he say WHY it needs a new movement? I think you had a tangled hair spring and he got it untangled while he was in there.

However if he saw some other problems that might get worse you might want to heed his warnings
