I've been building a lot of Daytonas lately and wanted to build one for myself. This one I went all out replacing every part in the movement except the main plate. The Noob main plate requires some small modifications to fit a genuine wheel train and train bridge but other than that all parts are a direct fit. with the addition of the mainspring, free sprung balance, and UV-liga chrono and second wheels I was able to regulate this to 1+ - sec/day, 2sec rate difference with .3-.1 beat error and only 21 amp difference in all 5 positions. I also replaced all exterior parts except case and pushers, which I modified to give a more genuine look and feel. I'm on the hunt for a genuine 116520 case but not holding my breath. I always wanted a Daytona at RRP, and now I have one.
I'm really proud of this one.
It's on the left. the Right watch is another I made with a chromalight APH dial.
