New Rep: IWC Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph 43.5mm

Haven't seen this pop up on any of the Trusted Dealers yet, but this popped up on one of the non-trusted dealers who tends to have the newest models before anyone else. Take this with a grain of salt, but I'm betting this will show up on the TDs once the CNY is over.

This is based on the IW390XXX series: IW390503, IW390505, IW390216

I have yet to see videos out for this, but it looks to be pretty close to gen on first glance from the front.

This is the 'older' gen that is 45.5mm. The new IWC and the rep are both 43.5mm.

Found some vids of the reps (only the two black ones). I want the white one I think!

All of the reps have dials from the 45.5mm models (with the numeral 3 at the 3 o'clock. The reps are listed as 43.5mm models which shouldn't have the 3 there, because they are smaller. So these are all wrong I think.

The faces all seem based upon the 3902 (45mm), though the date window appears to have square corners (which the 3905 has instead of 3902). The black dial stainless also uses a black outer dial, which is for the 3905 (the 3902 was white), but then the outer dial "60" should be red in that case.

Also, I'm not aware of an "Ocean Racer" (blue hands) model of 3905, so that appears to be a fantasy model. Well, I guess they all are fantasy by shoe-horning the 3902 face into a 3905 case, but, you know...

Really, the dials are a bit of a dog's breakfast.

It's a shame, because it's a nice model.

I see that the rose gold model picture shows "CHRONOGRAPH" on the case back, but the two Youtube videos both say "CHRONO GRAPH" with about a sixteen foot gap in the letters, which is a bit off...

... and they have the IWC placeholder serial number that they used for their rendered images: "2345678". Ugh. Nice serial, bro.

Really wish I could find a good rep of this.

Issues with this model ( I think I may have seen this rep in real life):

1. The 60 at the top should be red but is Black on the Rep ( the white face with blue hands, never seen that model before)
2. The Date box is slightly incorrect
3. The Hands on the on the two smaller dials are flat and when they should be slightly embossed ( You really notice this in real life)

Points 1 and 3 are really a deal maker which is a shame because they are such minor details, but the issues are just a lack of attention to detail.

If anyone can find a rep with these issues message me because these are the watches I want!!!
