Introducing the New Xing Bezel V5!

This has been a long time coming for many. I have received lots of requests for what we should do in the next upgrade.

For our V4 we went the extra step and had it double platinum plated to make sure there were no speed bumps. This was a fairly big improvement since this was the main issue people were having.

There were many requests from many across all forums for one main improvement, and for our V5 we have thinned out the bezel to make it just like gen. We also added a tiny bit more gloss to the finish. This is the most accurate version there is.

If you are interested or have any questions feel free to reach out. I respond fastest on whatsapp.

Thanks,

David

The thinning down is really great. That seemed like the biggest hurdle to overcome when installing.

Curious if there is any intention of thinning down the numbers to not be so thick in font?

You have saved us countless hours of sanding, as well our finger tips from scraping across the diamond cloth.

Glad to see they were able to thin this down, but the shine factor wasn’t a huge issue as that’s an easy fix.

I’d ask them to work on smoothing the numbers, and to add more platinum to the blue sections as you can see a difference in the luster still.

Thanks. Is this suppose to replicate the Mark I, II or III of the gen version?

Great stuff , the no 1 still appear whiter than the 8 , if that is fixed I'd be all over it 😁

Easy fix in what way? Really curious to know this as it would help me big time!

If you wanted to improve the shine, you will need to smooth the surface of the bezel even more.

I used emory cloth in ranges of 2k-7k to smooth the surface even more, and then a polishing compound suitable for ceramics and more.

You can view the surface with a high power loupe to see the pits are minimized, this will result in the surface having a much higher gloss.

By the way the sanding is done by hand, and the polishing is done by way of Dremel with various pads/cloths.

These materials are available at your local hardware, and auto parts store in the paint or body repair sections usually.

I'm having a conversation with the factory and trying to get an extra coating of platinum.
That’s most likely the ticket to having more uniformity in all numbers, at various angles and lighting conditions.

Now the question becomes should the extra application be for the entire bezel.
or only the blue section 🤔

In my opinion when looking at the coating under magnification the blue numbers seem to have less luster, either that or the insert color is creating shadows or an optical illusion.

Otherwise you are very close to perfection with this bezel, the only thing to perfect after the uniformity in the coating would be smoothing of the numbers if we wanted to be extremely picky.
