You can prevent the stripping by pushing the crown in and turning it backwards till it engages the threading, then you screw down.

I do this with all my replicas and watches, I'm really gentle, but I've read that it still doesn't prevent it. I might finally get a winder for the Seamaster...

I have many vsf wat hes and have never had a crown strip. Do like he said, push in gently will turning ccw....you will feel the thread click into place, and then turn cw. It's really the proper way to engage any thread parts, watch or otherwise.

I felt the photos' NTTD bezel and dial colour are a bit darker
seems unlike NTTD where the colour is more pale brown

That’s how the first release of the nttd was, they updated to the fatter end link part a year later.

Yes sadly. I’ve had 3 VSF omegas strip crowns and I’m very aware of how to handle screw in crowns. I’m always gentle with the process and never over screw the crown. Despite my best and gentle efforts, the butter strength VSF quality has defeated me ……. ORF or ZF only for me now for any OMEGA seamaster series.

I emailed trusty time and asked about this watch - here’s what they said.

“This is comparable to VSF quality which is why I decided to source from them as they are the only one who has Ti bracelet in the market”
