New Release - Breitling Avengers

Got an email about these a few days ago. What do you guys think of these? I really like the 3 hand black dial and GMT. My preference is non painted bezel but both look good. The Avengers haven't been really updated in a while except minor dial and bezel changes. Thoughts?

Interesting as a I am fan of both the “B” logo and the “wings“ on different models.

IMO the ”B” is more dressy like on smaller models Navi 8 top time etc

The wings are a must for so a hard pass for me, and I don’t get the colour combinations

Reps of these going by experience can be 6 mo (freaking awesome Navitimer 8 by ZF how'd they do an awesome rep the quick!) and a little over a year (Premier, Endurance pro carbon version, Chronomat 42 chrono). Do you like these releases? Breitling's pics are not great making some of the dials look really flat but those are renders. Case and bezel look good to me. I like them but I'm pretty open to new Breitling releases as a Breitling fan.

You know, I didn't even notice the B vs wings. I was looking more on case/bezel I guess. I feel like I could live with either. Colors, I agree. Something off about them, especially the green or whatever color that is supposed to be, but could be the Breitling pics on the website which is all I've seen. The black dial though looks fine so far. Hard to mess that up but it is definitely possible.

You know, I'm going to 180 on my non painted bezel preference. It kind of looks good on the black dial 44 which is all I'm looking right now. But that yellow chrono....Looks good. Again, all initial impressions. Need to see more pics.

Not a fan to be honest

The mint green dial is paired with a military green strap, same for the blue dial with the strap not matching… they completely missed matching colours (plus more yellow, beige etc) and the ‘b’ logo only works with smaller models IMO

I don't like what they did to the chrono at all. The square pushers are dull and the dial colors are embarrassing. These are the most un-Avenger looking Avengers ever. If the line isn't selling, I'd rather they discontinue it for a while than mess with a classic formula.

Maybe I would have been a little more diplomatic but basically I agree . I have been a huge Breitling fan since I was young. When I got my flying license I got also my first Breitling "with the wings". Now I have several Breitling, half of then gen, and most of them with the wings. For me Breitling is synonym with pilot and wings. I never seen a company mess up their brands so much. Changing the logo at each release is just plain suicidal. Especially if the logo does not reflect the sould of the company. The same with the models. Avenger was the kick-ass military watch, but this new release is a party watch that looks like many other models.
That being said, the 44mm GMT looks nice but just leaves that feeling... haven't I seen this before? I guess however that if you don't have a similar watch in your collection it would make a great addition and the stuff with B vs. Wings is most for old timers like me

I really like Bretilings and would like to have them, but the size has always put me off. Today I would like to focus on a 42 Superocean or an Avenger chrono 43 or 42.
Could you help me with factories that make convincing reps?

I agree, I think that's the best looking chrono from the pictures. It's hard to tell from the renders. Look at the Endurance pro thread. And the Superocean 42/44 thread. And well my beloved Navitimer 8 we can't look at because I don't know that it ever gained traction but those others were met with initial skepticism but turned out to be good watches with a unique look that could be appreciated at least in rep form and were enjoyed. I still keep my eye out for that darn Breitling B60 quartz. That was the perfect chrono for me and it got intro'd and pulled in a couple months. I'm still pissed about that.

The colors of these Avengers have some potential and might need to be acclimated to after a while. I don't think there is a matte mint on the market now. Blue and black. That's coming on strong with a number of models (with greenish tints). How many Rolex models have had odd colors come out and become popular. I like these. The 3 handers of these look better than the Avenger 43 that replaced the Avenger GMT 43.

I'd really like to see a "Breitling Summit" video introduction of the watch. I liked those vids during covid and a bit beyond. Very well done and I just found them entertaining.

Here are two natural light on wrist vids of the 3 hand and the chrono. I like them. I like them better than the outgoing 2019 revised models. Stronger lugs with the crease and more masculine bezel that is more balanced. The end links are better too looking less like a massive slab just thrown in the case. The new end links have sharp creases and raised area that breaks it up visually.

I'm looking forward to trying the weird color light tan and green chronos and the black with yellow dial.
