I bought this DSN a while ago as part of a multi-watch purchase but have never worn it. As most are aware the case shape of Davidsen's 021 was surprisingly poor with overly rounded corners. However the dial and rep Rolex 618 movement were really nice. It also came mounted on a terrible rep strap and because it has (correctly) welded wire lugs there's no way to change it.
I remember seeing a thread a few years ago on another factory that was going to release a more accurate 021, though I don't believe it ever happened (plz correct me if I'm wrong).
Needless to say my DSN 021 just sat in a box until I had the idea of asking @Belkin12 if he would be interested in making a better case for it using screw bars so that I could change straps regularly. Of course, I'm probably making the watch less gen like by going this direction but at least it will see some wrist time. As usual, working with Belkin was great and his work on the case engravings is just amazing.
The case will be shipped along with my 992 build, so fingers crossed that the dial and movement are an easy swap once it arrives.
