It really exceeds my expectations, it's a little heavy, but not any more than my Tissot PRS516 Valjoux

If anyone wants any specific angles let me know I will try to accommodate

Wow that looks really good. How thick is the case? 16mm?

I'd says its around 17mm, so a little bit thicker than my historic pam319 that i measure at 15mm.

If i recall correctly ALE mentions in his Guide that this model was NEVER produced, but only introduced in Geneve...

It sounds like this watch is a fantasy/concept watch...from what I gather it was showed but not sold, or if it was sold it was in a very limited quantity. Would be nice to get the definitive story in this.

IMHO, concept/fantasy watches are the ideal reps...this PAM386, is by far the best quality watch in this category in my collection (also have a Tag Pendulum, Tag Monaco calibre 36, and a Breguet skeleton that is pure fantasy).

I emailed panerai about this.. They told me that this model was never sold and only a handful of display models were built.

I then contacted my local PAM boutique and they said it wouldn't be released and the 441 would be the most suitable replacement.

Thanks for finding out the story bradj...441 is a nice watch, and i considered it, but am not a fan of gmts...and IMHO the hash marks on the 386 are classic vs the small numerals on the 441. Would be nice if they made a version of the 386 one day.
