I've always been a huge fan of the PAM389 (I own the V6F) but with almost 20mm thickness from top to bottom it's quite a beast. However, it's still one of my most favourite Panerais to date.
So I almost impulse-buyed the thinner, even more beautiful PAM1389 when it came available from several TD few a days ago.

Luckily, I saw a post from mysterio in the 'fugee forum about the SF version and unfortunately, SF is not using the slimmed down case. I think he even found some more differences but I can't remember them. I just wanted to put this here as a reminder/warning.

SF not using the correct slimmed case for the P.9010 and basically they're using the P.9000 function clone, which introduces another visual flaw which is an offset in the subdial position. The second one you probably can't see without the gen side by side but the thicker case with the stubby lugs is a dead giveaway.

Alleged KW version

SF version:

Some differences (let me know if you agree):
- Date font looks more gen like on KW version
- Swiss Made closer to the 6 o'clock marker on KW (more gen like)
- Longer hour hand on KW

Found an advertisement pic from xf/kw to see thinner profile for reference. I think it sacrificed the functional accuracy for visual. Buyers can pick between sf and xf based on looks vs function. I'm going for xf looks because shallow is how I roll haha.

Seem like the dual lume is missing. Too bad.
I guess was too optimistic thinking 682 fix would apply across later model releases.

Just got some feedback from my TD: photos are from a production sample. The real rep will have a serial number on the caseback. Not sure about the dual lume though. We'll see. I have one on order, will let you know once I get QC pix.

Like the 682, the caseback appears to be slightly thicker ( more slanted than the gen, from pics)

So does this PAM1389 have a super clone P9010 in it? Or is this another decorated A7750 movement. Its seems like this is a new movement once again??

One site says A7750 decorated, and another says Asian Clone of P.9010.

The P.9010 in the PAM1389, PAM1312, PAM1359, basically the PAM1XXX etc. is not a superclone. It is merely an A7750 decorated with plates to make it look like a P.9010. The fortunate feature of the A7750 this time is that the balance wheel is @11, exactly the same position as the gen P.9010 movement.
