I am new member, and have a couple of questions :

I want my first watch to be PAM111 v3 or 005 with 6497, are these watches ok for everyday use? I know the cosmetically they are very close to gen, but how about the asian movt, what is the life span?
Another question, can asian 6497 be swapped for swiss 6497, or the modifications are required?

Thanks.

The A6497 is a very robust movement. On a scale of 1-10 (as compared to gen) the Asian movement might be an 8. I should last a lifetime, with proper service.

You can swap the Asian move for a Swiss movement, but you will not likely find one like the rep movement. The rep movement has the gen-looking Panarai bridges. If you choose the 005, then it doesn't have to matter, as it has a solid case back.

As said above, A6497 is very solid. I prefer the 005 as the case back is closed the I love sandwich dials .....!

All preference.. I, for one, prefer the 005 with close caseback but many love the zero for it's simplicity as well as the 111!

Hi, A6497 is a tank and the 005 because of the caseback closer to gen. In my opinion one of the most beatiful watches... And Angus is one of our trusted dealers.

Hi,
I have a few questions;

I noticed p111 M Noob selling for $588, does it really have a Swiss movement, or just a better quality movement?

About PVD coating, does it scratch easy, love the look but is it practical for daily wear, or just casual ?

I also noticed 372 p3000 super clone. Beautiful, but is there a similar watch in smaller size 44

I only looked at Noobs, as the quality stand out from what I read.

BTW, I am planning to only get one watch for now.

Thanks Guys.

the closest thing IMO to a 44mm version of the 372 would be the 390, which noob does make and it's a beautiful rep

Use the search function and read up....they don't have gen swiss movements, but bastardized ones, just get reg. movement.

Thank you. You guys have been great.

I will take a look at 390,I also spotted 388 with automatic p9000 movement.

I just looked what senior members keep, I could not believe my eyes how beautiful this pam388 is automatic. I am looking at the one on asso strap PT website.

Who makes it, it is labeled as 388 O ZF 1:1. I will look up for more information on this watch.

If you have any suggestions regarding vendor, and which mfg, please post it I found it should it be v2 with non-inverted seagull movt.

Thank you, what a awesome place this website is.

I just received the latest H-Factory 005N. If you are interested, I'm in Canada.

I have decided on either KW 388 or 359 V2 with non-inverted seagull automatic with Asso strap.

Both are beautiful, but I can only get one for now, and go from there.

Hi, can you please answer this for me;

How reliable is ST2555 non-inverted Seagull auto as compared to 6497 ?

"Inverted" vs. non-inverted ST2555 Seagull is it just in relation to cosmetic look as close to gen, or there is more like mechanical how mechanism operates?

Thank you.

If you want to have a worry free watch, just get a 6497. That said, seagulls are pretty reliable too but the 6497's are literally tanks. They have been around for so long, since the pocket watch days.

Hi

With 6497 44mm I have 3 options but the watch will be most reliable. 005N v2; 111Nv3; 318L v3.

Question; The upgraded "Y" incabloc on 6497, is it just for looks, so it's closer to gen, or it actually has a function?

I really, really like new thinner 512 42mm , but it has J23 movement, and there is no KW512 review. I would like to know who has the best version currently?

Also I would like to know if in 512 all the gears are actually working just like in gen, because the mechanism although inverted, looks awesome, I am new (joined a week or so ago), so that may be a stupid question for some

Thanks.
