Interesting pre-marketing for SIHH 2019:

Really like the dial treatment and the continuation of placing the pushers on the left side rather than the antique style of with the crown guard. Not sure about the bezel, but that's a matter of taste ...

The dial is the fun part for me ...

How big is this? 48mm? Can they please bring out more 42mm watches!

It's 47mm. As for bringing out 42mm subs, I guess it would depend on sales of the PAM682 and PAM684. Also this being a new bezel color, I would imagine OP releasing it in the more popular 47mm size. I read in Risti that this will be a very limited edition, like only 20/30 made but other publications make no mention of it so it could be a non-limited edition but with a low production quantity.

Just an opinion here but these increasingly larger sizes are on the verge of gawdy like a 1980s rapper with a clock around his neck. And people laughed at Invicta years ago.

If I was not so embarrassed I would show a bling JBW I bought. My 9yo son likes it so maybe he will inherit it when he starts 6th grade. Pimping hard!

Love this new model, while I agree the trend is moving back to the smaller pieces, these 47mm PAMs do not wear like big gaudy watch like Invicta. I really hope these get made.

Dunno if you're familiar to Panerai but 47mm is not an increasingly larger size. The submersibles have historically been made in 44 and 47mm prior to the PAM682 and PAM684. Can't talk about why other people laughed at Invicta but to me they lacked originality, just copying design elements from other brands. It was never about the size for me.

And a bling watch is certainly more gaudy than a large (not larger) submersible, IMHO.

When I become the World Watch King my first decree is to outlaw any watch over 44mm. Penalty will be loss of finger first offence. second one will lead to no hand. Let me put an lol in here because someone will cry that I would really cut someone's hand off over a big watch. LOL

Anything smaller than 44mm should not have a PANERAI written on it..LOL

Back on topic, I like this model, blue/grey is very nicely balanced on the dial/bezel..pity we won’t see a good rep anytime soon (I want functionality besides visual accuracy).

I am what is called a strong athesit but that does not stop my supreme goal of being King Dale of Watchingher.

Well a King does not necessarily need the approval of any religion because for him he is God. :) anyway, moving on.

I think i am the only one, but i dont like it...

Nah, I don't like it either. Then again, I don't like the Submersible line in general.

Too gaudy imo. Those, along with Royal Oak Offshores, Richard Mille's etc all look like prizes in a claw machine. I appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into them, but I can't ever imagine what outfit you'd wear them with.

Mysterio, i dont like the combo. Too much... all the details alone are very nice. But all the details into one pam are too much.
