A few flaws that I see are:

L SWISS MADE L being a bit too close to the 6

Typical Crown and CG gap issue, although the CG looks pretty good to me. CG lever seems very long and crown has no bridge and is stuck to the case.

Regardless, it looks to be pretty good 8)

He also has 164 up and I think the cirlces next to the numbers are a bit too small.

This is exciting - new Pam offerings from the dealers.

Great watch I wonder if they come out with a Swiss movement.

I'm really liking these new auto offerings. I wish we could see the back engraving better on the 229. I can't find anything on the web for reference. I've seen some gen 104s with the crown right next to the case with no gap, as well.

Thanks Bazonkers for the pics. That helps a lot. I will look forward to your review. I'm getting real itchy for one of these and I just need a gentle push.LOL

Hmm, a bit of an improvement over some old Auto PAM reps but still with many issues...dial color is not even close to gen, as the gen comes with electric blue/anthracite finish, the rep comes with flat navy color, as Joe already mentioned L Swiss Made L txt position not great (again!), OP number on the caseback is wrong (why, oh why can't they get this right :(...), crown is pushed too far towards the case and comes without neck (similar to crowns found on Ruby's 036 and Angus' 111E), CG lever tip too long hence the crown sitting in this position, lug screw holes drilled higher on the lug ends than they should be, double A/R yuck...if you want double A/R get yourself a Breitling or Omega, in PAMs that's sacrilege IMO, ...etc.

Nice touch on the mov't decoration though, with all those CDG and OPIII txt decorations, but as I pointed out this on PAM164 post on RWG - it's a waste of time and money on Asian mov't sitting behind the closed caseback.

As for the price, @ $320 delivered, hardly a good deal IMO. :?

Question:
How loud are the Asian 7750s in steel cases? I had an 089Ti and the rotor could be heard from a few feet away. My guess is people could actually hear it as I walked past. Is that due to the Ti case, an overly loud rotor, or is it a general characteristic of the 7750? Needless to say, it was my first & last attempt at a 7750.

That is what keeps me from considering this (as well as a few others like the Navitimer).

You guys KILL me.

You google the model #- come up with a factory picture taken by a professional photographer using a Leaf Digital back on a Hasselblad 553elx- compare it to a picture taken by a Chinese guy in a $9 light tent using a $99 point and shoot camera and make pronouncements.

The dial texture and color on this rep looks pretty damned good to me- Look at Kings pics. And furthermore- Until you saw this rep listed- had ANY of you heard of it or seen one in person?? I've worn my older, BAD 104 rep into AD's and First Class lounges and NOBODY knows it isn't real- and it's BAD. These are good- really good in fact. $300 for a rep of a $7K watch that is nearly identical?? Sounds OK to me...

He's right. Check out the pics of this watch on King's site. They show the dial much better. It really has a nice look to it. I'm excitied :)

Easy there shooter...
Some of us know this stuff a little better, so no need to google the model #

My statemment was supported by email reply from Josh who said it was "flat blue with a bit of shine", so lets hold our horses until we see one in person, shall we ?

Is that right?? You're intimately acquainted with the Panerai 229 Firenze?? Got that dial BURNED into your brain-

Come on. I've been to dinners hosted by the Paneristis and everybody pulls out their watches- real show off stuff- Half of the stuff looks different from what the websites show- "Oh yeah this is an earlier version"- or "Panerai re-did the crystal for me"- stuff like that.

Comparing Factory pictures with production watches is tough enough- MANY little differences- comparing them to reps is foolish. Who cares if it's a tiny bit off- the important things are really the overall fit and finish- and if you've been buying the "Super Reps" from the past year you know this new generation of $300+ watches are incredibly well made- THAT's the test, not the little stuff that DOES vary on gen production watches.

Some strong egos there...eh? Maybe you should just go an buy one and tell us all about it, as anything in life, horses for courses.
Your generalisation and comparison of super reps (that usualy come with Swiss mov'ts) to the Asian 7550 28kbph mov't powered ones, isn't right I'm afraid.
And you preach to the wrong crowd.
As far as the burned Panerai dial images in my brain.,..don't be silly.

Some of the older 7750s could definately be heard as they were winding inside their case. I know my Ti Breitling Chrono Avenger can be heard and to a lesser extent also my Pam 187 also had the problem.I think they were fairly dirty and poorly lubricated from the factory. However the new 7750 28000 are much better and smoother and do not seem to be a problem. Well over a year ago Vacuum serviced my 187 7750 (The last one he did) and it didn't give me any further problems. I don't think you should worry about the issue with these new 7750 hi-beats. My Hublot BB and my Cartier Santos 100 Chrono are smooth as glass. Hope that helps. Also, I should say that my gen Hamilton Khaki X-Wind with a Swiss 7753 is also pretty loud, so part of it is just the nature of the beast.
