Hi there, I hope you're all doing well. I'm completely new to RWI and seeking help. Recently, I bought a watch from TrustyTime, and it arrived DOA (dead on arrival). The watch is completely non-functional – none of the chronos work, the buttons don't respond, and, most importantly, the rotor is stuck and won't spin. I've already contacted them via email, but it's been 11 hours and I haven't received a response – I feel completely ignored. I'm desperately looking for assistance and feel like I was scammed out of $759 for a broken watch. I can guarantee that all the information I provided is 100% accurate. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

It's been 11 hours, friend. They're in China. Please give them time. They're not some sort of Amazon dealer.

It's currently 2:16 am there now. Give them 24/48 hours. They'll assist.

Keep in mind, Trusty is located in China. They may be sleeping while you are awake. 11 hours is not much time at all. If you used the links to Trusty provided here on the forum, you have not been scammed, ripped off etc.. Trusted Dealers would not be here if they were shifty. Give him a couple of days to respond... it will all be okay!

Thanks you've really relieved me! I was so happy to get the watch but then sad I saw it wasn't working. I'll just wait to hear back from them and give them some time

A) Time zones are real and not an illusion created by the deep state 😜 and despite popular belief, Chinese folks have a private life and aren't only spending time at work. They're not Japanese ffs. 😆🤣 (I'm just kidding, my beloved Japanese friends! 😉❤️)

B) Trusty may (emphasis on may) suggest repair in China. Not the route most of our veteran members would take as sending a watch back won't happen on the same route as the original shipment. Returned watches have a high percentage of ending up in the postal Nirvana of replica products...

Instead, try to ask for a cost participation or even a full refund of local repair costs (Trusty may possibly suggest that too). Much safer from a shipping risk standpoint. The only issue will be finding a local rep-friendly watchmaker. Alternatively (e.g. if you live in a rural area hundreds of miles away from a larger city), there are always our trusted vendors on RWI who can help.

It would help if you changed your perspective. You did receive a watch that has a potential movement issue. So you did receive approximately $659 out of the $759 that you spent if it cost $100 to fix it. Even if nothing happened from here on out, which it won't, that's all.

Don't buy replicas if you don't have a watchmaker at hand. Expect there to be minor issues.

Thanks for letting me know that a dead watch isn't a big deal. As it's my first replica watch, I expected it to work properly. I'll keep this in mind for next time – appreciate the advice!
(DOA) Is minor issues got it. Thanks

You don’t get it do you?
It’s not that you receiving a broken watch isn’t a big deal. You’re entitled to whatever you paid for.
And $800 isn’t little money for most people.

Well staffed companies that’s in your country would probably be able to respond within 24-48h even. Or next day before end of business day.

It’s that lack of business / life experience and demanding less than 11hours is what gets me and I’m sure others too.

Thanks I'm learning it slowly since I'm new to rep world

Always set your expectations accordingly—you're purchasing a counterfeit product from a business operating in a legal gray area. Expecting Amazon-level service or warranties, which legitimate retailers are legally required to provide in most jurisdictions, is simply unrealistic.

That said, we pay a premium for the service TDs offer, and buying from a "certified" TD is about as close as you can get to a legal retail experience in the counterfeit market. Trusty didn’t send you a broken watch on purpose. Accusing a TD of fraud carries weight on RWI because, while RWI isn’t financially involved in their business, TD status isn’t handed out lightly—it’s granted only after a thorough probationary period where the aspiring TD is vetted and evaluated.

A TD has every reason to ensure you receive a functional watch or to resolve issues in order to protect their reputation. Always attempt to work things out with the TD privately before escalating. If multiple attempts fail, the community may be able to assist. As a last resort, you can open a help desk ticket to involve RWI’s admins, but that step should only be taken after exhausting all other options.

Trusty is reliable, so he will assist. 11 jours is not a reasonable timeframe to start to get agitated.

Also as comparison, if you bought M2M most sellers explicitly exclude DOA in their terms.

So he will make a commercial gesture, but that’s probably going to be either send back to China or share of local repair.

Maybe post a couple of QC pics with the seconds hand in diff positions, and the pic on the time grapher

Maybe he also sent you a video of the functioning watch before shipping ?

No he only sent 8 QC pictures just pictures and no video. Now we're in conversation and he told me keep winding up for 4/5 days and if it not work he will advise after that. But the hublot is totally stuck. Rotor sound is like a tractor and having a loud sound. And start and reset buttons aren't working either. I been winding up for last morning to this morning as per his instructions. Just rotor sound get louder and louder no improvement.
