With Watches and Wonders 2021 kicking off. I can start showing off some of the novelties. Panerai has broken down this years pieces into 4 pillars as they like to say.

Here we have the first offering in Pillar 1 which they call Ecologico. This is Panerai positioning themselves to lead a movement towards more environmentally responsible watch manufacturing.

The headliner in this Pillar is the #Panerai #PAM1225 eLAB-ID. A concept watch with the highest percentage of recycled-based materials ever made at 98.6%.

The 44MM case is made of EcoTitanium that we saw in the Mike Horn Piecers a few years back which is 80% recycled. It also uses 100% recycled SuperLuminova as well as silicon for it's movement escapement. Even the gold hands and sapphire crystal have recycled materials in their construction.

To make this watch a reality, for the first time Panerai partnered with 10 companies and 25 well renowned engineers to make the watch a reality.

This novelty will be limited to only 30 pieces and have an MSRP of 60,000 Euro. It is slated to release in 2022.

Thanks for sharing! I'm sure this will make a good rep considering the overall quality of vsf 985 and 984.

I like the overall monotone gray look. Although, I am sure, the live watch, as always, will look completely different.

I do not think that their "Eco titanium" will differ in appearance from the usual titanium VSF.

In general, I agree that 44mm submersibles in a new case can become the company's new bread, and VSF should not miss it.
Titanium, gold, 44mm bronze rumors. I don't know if there will be steel (I would doubt it), but they definitely need to master a titanium case of this size, I'm sure there will be many more models in this material.

I was just about to post this but glad someone else took the time and effort haha. The coolest thing about this from my perspective is that the planning, design and construction of the components was all open sourced. Really nice opportunity for the vendors who were able to take part in it ...

I know it's not, but it almost looks the the bezel should be ceramic. Also I think it could. Better distinguish itself from the 984/5 if it was different somehoe. Like a ceramic bezel. But I like it. Especially as it's like a smaller version of the 985. Now I won't feel so bad about wearing a. Model that's too ridiculously expensive.

But it's a cool reference.

It’s nice to see this kind of style without the logo on the dial. Having it on the crystal was the only reason I sold my 985.
