We love to look at MODS and I enjoy those close ups. Today I fixed my PAM241 Regatta dial Power Reserve. The "pusher" to advance the date stopped advancing the date. I grabbed a roll of clear packing tape, a few Dollar Store screw drives (yes, Dollar Store), a thumb tack, a file folder tab and a tube of Crazy Glue.
First I took off the strap, removed the crown guard then removed the case back. Next I used the thumb tack point to depress the release and remove the winding stem. OK not very pretty but she's appart.
Second was to identify why the "pusher" wasn't advancing the date. HUMM a simple square of thick paper had slipped off the tab that the "pusher" pressed against. It was pretty worn from advancing the date for the past few years.
Thirdly I carefully took a small drop of Crazy Glue and put the piece of paper back on the tab. After it dried I cut a small piece of plastic from the file folder tab and glued that on top of the paper.
Chickaboom, chickaboom she's working GREAT! The plastic adds a bit more thickness which makes the "pusher" work better.
So now onto another new found respect I have.. taking pictures of your work.
I love close ups but my ol' camera isn't much good at taking those.
Here's the best I could do with what I have..
Thanks for looking and hope you've enjoyed.
