So I've received my watch, and I'm not going to lie... I'm disappointed!

I ordered a replica Cartier 2 years ago and that was brilliant!

This Rolex Replica has cost me £100 more and I feel like it's pretty poor... Watch and movement are great, but the strap really cheap a the whole experience. It's sharp and feels unpolished plus light and cheap.

I guess the saying too good to be true rings true with these replica's.

This is why it's extremely important to do your research. Any gold or two-tone model is going to be lighter than the genuine. There are some improvements where they're using tungsten to increase the weight, but it's still not the same. I am not familiar with that style bracelet on clean. I have had them in the past from other makers , and I didn't find them to be as comfortable or refined as the oyster or the presidential like you would find on a day date. Options you have include selling it as is and getting something else (unfortunately you will take a little financial hit, but if you don't like it and you're not going to enjoy it, it might be worthwhile while it's still in good and like new condition), getting a different style bracelet like for example a two-tone oyster, or just pick up something like a genuine rubber B or Everest.

You could also consider polishing the edges if that's what's sharp to improve the overall feel. Personally. The issue I ran into was the jubilee center links would catch my hair on my wrist. You can also try soaking it in baby oil and doing a ultrasonic cleaning. These might help to make it feel more smooth and solid but it's not going to do anything for the sharp edges. There's a few guys here on the forum that do work on case and bracelets that might be able to make it feel a bit better, but ultimately I don't expect you'll be happy with the end result from what you've said so far.

Bracelet hit or miss depending on QC. You ask 20 people on the forum what they think they'll give you 20 opinions. My bracelet is great and not sharp btw.

Either spend a little money on refinishing bracelet professionally, clean it up on the ultrasound, or swap to rubber.

Also... that's how jubilees feel... your bracelet is made of small pieces instead of solid metal....

Hi buddy

Which TD did you buy from?

Seems a little off on the dial details looking at your pictures.

Hi,

I had already ordered the watch off a tok tok user who recommended them and there was lots of comments and positive reviews, so I took the plunge. I then found this website when searching replica Vs real comparisons. I can now see there are "trusted dealers" which I can rely on via this forum...

I purchased from a seller known as

Phylliswatch

(link to watch is: https://phylliswatch.ru/index.php?route=product/product&path=205_227&product_id=4860)

To be fair to them, they have already replied and offered to give me another bracelet, or even an oyster bracelet as I am not happy with the strap. What details on the dial did you notice that don't sit right?

Thanks, I have contacted a company to ask about replating with the lighter gold colour, but given the quality of the strap I'd be tempted to purchase another strap first...

Thanks for the tips. I will try soaking in baby pile and the ultrasonic cleaning whilst I try and find either an alternative bracelet or get the existing one polished to take off the sharp edges.

Appreciate the advice, as new to this forum

you realize that not only is that not a trusted dealer, so lord knows what they sent you, but you linked an ARF which is not on the same level as clean for the GMTs?

You may have been sold a pup. Next time stick to the TD's and you'll definitely get what you pay for. I'm not a jubilee fan but i've had a clean version and it still felt good quality, just not my bag.

It may not be a high level GMT. Look at how deep that rehaut is. Unless there's a weird camera fish eye effect distorting the depth.

I was tinking the same although the serial would suggest its a clean or ARF (as I think they use clean cases too)
Hard to tell as the pics are not flat on.

OP Jubilees can be a little sharp feeling even Gens can as the outer edges of the bracelet have less of a bevel to them than an Oyster, also if you happen to have arms like Number one form Umbrella academy then they can also catch arm hairs making it feel a little less comfy just because of the number of links and how they sit on the skin.

You can bathe them in dry lube for bike chains for a few hours and then rinse off and it will feel a hole lot smoother. the newer jubilee bracelets are much tighter than one from the 80's n 90's as the mid links have been solid for years now, and cheap copies often still use the hollow style.

The Gold colour will always be up for debate and often the best way is replating it but this would need to be done before any wearing ideally or trying to polish it out but the latter does need some skills not to be heavy handed for sure

Whoa! I knew some were low quality ones come with clean stickering as fakes as fake cleans but didnt know they were also doing the serials too! Even more reason to only buy from a TD then!

What world do we live in when there is a need for fakes of fakes! Aliexpress marketing! :ROFLMAO:
