Sooo for the last 2 weeks I have been cautiously optimistic about my incoming Toro CG for my 111h. Showed up in the mail today and started to put it on when the inevitable occured....
Holes line up perfectly and it would fit great, except the lever pin that pushes the crown in is too long and wont let me even pull the lever down if its screwed in all the way.
My assumption is that these rep factory crowns are not ment to be fitted with a toro CG? Looks like it needed to be just a hair more shallow.

My question is...Is there an easy fix to this?? Try and shave down the lever a bit so it will close? easy to do?
I'm well aware that there are more shallow crowns out there, however I have no desire to "find out how deep the rabbit hole goes" when it comes to modding this PAM, (ie. once I get the back off to losen the stem screw, I will deside that the engravings on the movement are off ect...). I was hoping this would be a nice easy upgrade, and if it turns out to be something I need to invest any more money into I may just return to the factory rep CG, which really was pretty good in the first place.....But DAMN the toro one looks good when its on there...

Any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks guys.

If the feet are perfect against the case then the next step would be to file the lever down. If you feel comfortable with a dremel use that. But your first few or more times I would use a file. Remember to make the snap with the crown ;)

the snap is what happens when you put the lever up. It snaps into place. What a gen does

Use a file and just file down a little at a time. Check the fit and if need be file some more. I must have checked the fitting at least 5x's.

Since I was doing it by hand, I used a black sharpe to mark it and shaved enough till the black came off. This way I knew that i was keeping a straight line. You want it to snap (closed position).

Good luck.
