I would rather hope for the 42 mm Sub PAM682

If they rep it the caseback and movement wont be anywhere near this thats for sure. The front would be ok as most PAMs are quite simple.

Yeah I saw that in this mornings SIHH updates from Panerai. That and the BMG Submersibles are some nice looking pieces. They should be able to rep the dial with an existing carbotech case, new strap, closed caseback most likely, you will see that come quick

Front, easily doable. Case from PAM661, blue lume from the incorrect ZF PAM616 Carbotech (that's why it failed against the KW version). Back is actually not THAT hard, if you come to thick of it. The LAB-ID uses a P.3001/C movement, which is essentially a P.3000 movement but skeletonized with ceramic parts for the whole plates on the standard P.3000. With some work (copy the skeleton make it out of stainless steel and DLC it to give it a ceramic look), it can be done. VSF, are you listening? :D

It says the PAM700 is 49mm. Did they mess up and mean 48mm?

What a fantastic watch. Did you noticed that they engraved the "Luminor Panerai" and the "Lab ID" into the crystal?

Sharp eye. Yes, the LAB-ID and LUMINOR PANERAI text are indeed etched onto the crystal. New to Panerai but it's been done for other brands so probably not a show stopper.

This one is probably not my style, but the technical aspects are very impressive and exciting. Only 4 jewels, dry-lubricated and a 50 year warranty?? That seems like a show-stopper to me ...

Well, we probably meant different things. I meant show stopper as something that would prevent the replication of the PAM00700. You used show-stopper as something so astounding and impressive.

We did -- sometimes it's hard to separate the excitement for a replica and nerding out over advancements in horology haha.
