How's the case and dial on this one?

Possible to make a decent 249 from it maybe...?

That's actually not too bad for a vintage build. Just relume the dial, get some proper hands and a new plexi and you're done.

Plus the lugs are already welded!

Maybe a bit of welding required near the crowntube but that's all.

Nice, cheers. What are the flaws with this one then chaps, in terms of a vintage build?

Could it be converted to a modern 249 at all?

For the money its awesome. Welded lugs are a huge plus. They should be releasing one with a high bezel soon.

3 piece dial + tall cp and new plexi w/a new strap and it will be awesome

The Bezel is a bit off but for a budget vintage build this is awesome

Since the lugs are welded... how to change the straps?

There is a small spring bar between the lugs that the strap hides

Sorry to reignite this reasonably old thread, about to 'pull the trigger' on one of these but am wondering what the exact flaws are with regards to the plexi and bezel etc.

Don't mind this as a small project - just after tips on what to fiddle with first.

Not an expert in these vintage pams... Yet :)

River is where I'll be buying from. Will be getting the Cali version at the bottom

Thanks in advance
