Late last year I missed out on a truly stunning SF240 non alarm (non converted) 6152-1 that B12 sold over on the HF. Just a gorgeous watch that had everything that I consider (in my knowledge) to be the best for a build in the 'modern vintage' style. I have been in remorse ever since...

Thankfully Belkin asked if I would be interested in a similar build that he had already started - of course I jumped at the opportunity.

This build uses an alarm / stem wind version of the SF240; I had always considered the non-alarm to be the most impressive Angelus movement, however as I received pictures from B12 I realized that the alarm version actually has the more balanced, mechanical aesthetics with the additional gears rather than a large area of 'nothing' on the non alarm ratchet bridge.

B12 tested the restored movement once assembled - it ran for over 9 days on a full wind and within 30 secs accuracy during that period. IMO its such a beautiful piece of small machinery and incredible engineering from a different 'time'.

The 'fantasy' dial is a beautiful black radial brushed MMLP with the 8GB logo and sausage indices:



This dial is complimented by a rare / restored set of Angelus single pencil heated blue hands and a custom seconds hand:

The alternate dial that B12 has created for this watch is a more accurate homage of the MMLP 6152-1. He also restored a beautiful pair of original Angelus rose gold curved hands and made a seconds hand to complete the set.
