Hello all,
stumbled across this site by accident and I cannot believe how serious people are about their rep watches! I am so keen to buy a few copies and now feel much more educated and 'safer' having visited here.
I have seen some dodgy stores on the net and read so many horror stories I never thought I would buy a rep. watch but now....Rolex Submariner here I come.
The only down side to all this I am worried I may become addicted, I have about 7 watches and now I can buy the flash ones at a reasonble price! My piggy banks ribs are gonna be sticking out!

Welcome. Another Victorian I see. 8)

Yeah, Grand Final time!

Don't worry you WILL become addicted and your bank account will dip drastically. Very shortly after you buy your first one you will be online buying the second or third... even before the first has arrived.! BTDT :D

Same old story, almost like an AA meeting.

Welcome mate. I'll add you to the Aussie members list. We will be having a get together in Sydney just as soon as I can find someone down there willing to find a suitable venue. I'm not at home ATM so send me a PM to remind me to add you .

Regards, Col.

Hi Fireypete,

Are you in the emergency services? Rural or metro?

I'm in Queensland and I still don't understand AFL [smilie=sleepy1.gif] . Rugby league is best!! [smilie=hello2.gif]

Note to our americans, Rugby league is a hard game of football where we tackle as hard as your gridiron but wear less padding and definately no helmets. We are bred tough here. [smilie=violent1.gif]

I hope you like this board. I am spending waaay too much at present. I just don't tell the wife!!

Hey Para, I didn't know you were a fireie.
How many fireies do we have here? I am on the Gold Coast ATM having just attended the Aust Fire and Emergency Services Conference for the last few days. Very interesting! I'll post the pics "over home" shortly.

Watt if you are keen enough to line up a venue and play "mine host" for the day (no actual work, just co-ordinate the day) I will have a Sydney GTG up and running in a few weeks. There must be close to 15 or so members in Sydney over the two RWGs and here. PM me if you're keen. I'm on hols for a week but I'll try to get back to you tomorrow before we shove off.

Hi Col,

No, not a firey. I'm from the other side, an ambo. Should have been a firey though as they sleep all night :p

Hi Col,

My Grandfather was a fire chief in Queensland as well.

I know about the MVA's and house fires as we have to stand by those as well.

I didn't mean to insult you if I did. I was just having some fun. A little inter service rivalry

I am just jelous

I really hope to meet you soon and I'll shout you a beer.

Hey guys,
I've with the MFB in Melbourne for 20 years now, serving out of Richmond Fire Station, pretty busy place this.
I always have a "dig' at the Coppers, "Mate, when you graduated you got a gun, when I graduated I got a pillow" (really)
Ambo's around here get pumped well and truley, all night every night.

Hi Pete,

We have a couple of combined firey/ambo stations in Qld. Your right, the firies sleep most nights while the ambo's are lucky to get a meal break in a 12 hour shift.

I am 20yrs veteran paramedic up here and am getting tired. Time to move on soon I think. Management are treating road staff like sh!t and are only interested in themselves and their own budgets. [smilie=angry5.gif] Hard to get anything when your union is in bed with the govt.

I hope yopu enjoy this board. I have been reading it as often as I can (I think my wife might want a divorce if I keep it up).

If I'm down that way I'll pm you and organise a meet if you want.

Maybe you could organise a raffle to subsidies a Sand Gropper coming over for your next GTG in Sydney. The one I organised here in WA had one attendee- me! It was great I looked at the watches I owned and was suprised to find I recognised all of them.
