I saw this pop up on WeChat. Interesting to see an adaptation of the clone 925 movement in this version. It appears to be the same movement but with a simplified dial side (and small seconds pass through to 6 o'clock sub-dial). I think I may prefer this version to the Moonphase Ultra Thin since for a dress watch I do like a simple dial. It also looks like APSF isn't using an engraved version of the movement plates. Hopefully we'll see a ZF version with engraved movement bridges at some point.

Beutiful. Hoping that APSF will do a date version. Perfect balance between minimalism and practicality in a dress watch IMO.

I’m very much hoping that ZF will release a version of this with an engraved movement. But regardless, this looks like a banger of a dress watch.

My only true concern is reliability. The base module of this watch for the 925 "Ultra Thin" moonphase was a horrible movement. This is apparently the same base.... so I hope they at least fixed reliability now there's no date or moonphase complication on it

Looks fantastic! TheOneWatch is the seller?

BTW, share your preference for this version over the moon version. Perhaps it's just the pictures I've seen, but the moon version has never gotten close to gen for my tastes. Dunno why it would be so hard to replication. Puzzling.

Beautiful rendition of the jlc!

One question though, from the images it seems the dial has very little if no soleil at all.

How it is from real?
I found a ZF version of the small second ultra thin that, at least on the jtime website, shows a much more pronounced soleil...although the small second dial looks much nicer on yours!

: )

Many thanks

I haven't received the watch yet, it's probably going to take another 10 days to arrive.
The watch on Jtime is based on another reference though, for which also the gen appears to be "shinier".
This watch here is based on reference 1218420.

I received the watch today. The strap is cheap crap and already damaged because the protective film and the side flanks of the strap somehow got glued or melted together. I was anyways expecting to replace the strap, so it's not a big deal.
Other than that, the watch is gorgeous. The photos in this thread here don't really show how beautiful the dial actually is. I will try to take some proper photos tomorrow - today it's too dark already. Compared to my other, sportier watches, it's also really thin (I know, it's a MUT :D ).

As much as I didn't want to buy one of these after my MUT moon took a dump I just can't say no to this watch. The small seconds is even classier than the Moonphase IMO. Very excited as I can see this becoming my new go-to dress watch.

I know its the same base as the 925 but fingers crossed that the removal of the moonphase lengthens the fuse on the time bomb.

I have been wearing mine a few times now since I received it. It's a very nice watch, and the dial and subdial look great. The rotor is a bit noisy, but the gen isn't exactly quiet either.
Just the strap is pretty crappy, mine was already damaged when I received the watch. I got a Hirsch London Alligator strap instead - perfect fit (21/18mm), great quality, and it makes the watch feel and look very gen-like.

How is the quality of the rep clasp. Did you keep it and swap it onto your new strap? I've found that the rep JLC clasp on my Reverso is quite "grabby" the J and L in the logo on the clasp tend to catch on clothing.

Yes, I swapped the clasp onto the new strap. My only concern is that quite some force is required to open it and I am worried I might break it. I do feel that it got better over the last two weeks, though, so maybe it's breaking in or maybe I just got used to it. I guess I will found out after the summer when I am going to wear it more often. So far I am very pleased with the watch, the dial is really classy.

In what sense the moonphase has not gottien close to gen?

I am about to pull the trigger on a JLC moonphase superclone and from what I've been told and read in pretty much spot on.

The only thing, is the replicated version is older JLC version with the smaller indexes.

Like I said, perhaps it's just the pictures I've seen, so I'd defer to those who have the watch for their feedback. This said, to me, there are three issues to my eye. First, the moon on the gen appears to have a slight lift/emboss to it, whereas the moon on the rep misses this depth. Second, the rep moon itself appears flat, compared to the gen which has a shine. Third, the star background is off - way off.

Please keep in mind this is coming from someone who is a bit of a JLC hound (2 gens in collection, though not MUT) - hopefully, someone with direct experience weighs in. I'd appreciate the clarification myself.

Will second this. The moon disk leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not usually one to franken but a gen moon disk is something that I would consider as the rep part lacks the same level of fit and finish as the rest of the watch IMO.

I believe the case dimensions are also not quite gen-spec as well. The reps are slightly thicker than gen IIRC.

Movement leaves a bit to be desired as well with the lack of engraving. Mine also had a bit of play in the hands when setting. Super annoying when I set the time only to have the hands jump a bit when pushing the crown back in.
