I can't live with crooked markers on a dial, and I'm not really willing to send a new watch to a watchmaker to get it fixed. Yes, I know it's reps and I know it's zoomed in, but you will see it also with bare eyes. What's it worth to buy high quality reps with fancy clone movements, if the crooked dial markers scream "fake".... I've been in this hobby for almost 20 years, but having straight marker on the dial is essential to me and can be expected even with reps.
100% agree, even the cheapest watches in the world have markers which are not crooked, so yes, I am absolutely with you.

I love your attitude and echo your sentiment. I recently bought a gen limited edition Panerai, and the crown stem has some stickiness when trying to push it back in after setting the time. I asked all of my gen Panerai collector friends and 80% of them had a similar issue. One guy told me “chalk it up to Italian craftsmanship, you don’t complain when your Ferrari doors have panel gaps right?”

I replied to him I’ll let you know when I get one 😅

All this to say, even gens can have their issues and that we shouldn’t take reps too seriously. Enjoy them for what they are, a fun reproduction at like a 2% cost
Literally everything can have their issues. However if I pay 100% of the price I expect 100% delivery. My car (200k€, fwiw) was in the workshop 7 times in a row until they was able to fix the issue it had, however I would not have let go until they fixed it. And the same applies for anything I buy.

None (zero) of my gens, even the 500€ Victorinox (my holiday watch haha) has any issue with the markers or the hands. And that's what it's supposed to be.

It's time to disclose the brand, model and engine for prevent our members to buy the same car as you

Still enjoying this one very much.
However, I also need to pick up a 1.5 link. With the standard links, it's either too tight or too loose.

Those links are expensive. I think we should start doing some wrist and forearm curls instead haha!

Received my Green 26240 a few days ago, Overall it’s a stuning Watch out of the Box!
Unfortunately I got the ugly Rotor so i‘m going to replace that with a 15500 Rotor that I have here lying around.
Also going to do a Rebrush to add some Rougher strukture to the finishing.
Hands need to be set correctly and my Long Term project is Building my own Gen Balance Wheel😅
Thank you so much for the macro shots!
Is the 15500 rotor of the same size and fit as the 26240 and can you do the replacement by yourself?
As my 26240 QC is on the way with previous rotor engraving I thought about adding a 15500 to my collection and swap out the rotors. Do I see that correctly that the disk with 8 holes is just glued onto the rotor?
