Ok so a little back story... i work at a pawn shop and i started using rwi in order to avoid taking in fake watches after i took in a rep IWC. As i started learning more and more about reps i learned to appreciate them. but now i have a problem i took in this tudor thinking it was authentic and now im having doubts about it. From what i have
researched i think the dial is not original. I have doubts about the case but i do think the movement is real. Im not 100% sure so im hoping you guys can help me out.

Based on some googling, I think you're right about the dial, the shield doesn't look right and diamonds look too small. Also not sure if the crown is right. What makes you say the movement is gen?

the engravings look correct on the movement. from what i read online should be an eta movement on the tudor. the reason for me thinking the dial is aftermarket is that there is no factory mother of pearl dials made for tudor.

Hi, it´s really hard for me to believe it´s gen as the diamonds are placed all over the dial.
12 and 6 are badly right justified, almost all others are either too near or too far from the rim.
Strangely a quick Google search turned up several diamond marker ones with similar misalignments, even way back I can´t believe that was Tudor´s kind of quality control.

a similar men´s one (same diamond misalignments) sold recently for $260 on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROLEX-TUDOR...arl-Oyster-Prince-18kt-Gold-Bez-/161600653506

first off thanks for the reply. I completely agree with you on that. The dial doesnt look correct at all. But there are aftermarket dials for both tudors and rolexes that are not anywhere near rolex standards. can i get your opinion on the movement and on the engravings between the lugs?

Hi, did not scroll down that far last time. The movement sure looks finely machined and engraved and in top condition, rotor looks right as well. The caseback is very convincing with service marks. Wait for one of the specialists opinions, resized one of the huge images to 1280x720 to fit in here, maybe like that it´s easier. With a new gen dial fitted it might become a very nice Tudor.

i agree with you. i think the dial is the thing on the watch that creates the most doubt on the authenticity. i also think the movement looks good. the only other thing that raises flags for me is the numbers etched between the lugs. again thanks for taking the time to look at the pics and offering your opinion. and also thanks for resizing the picture and posting it

I think it's all gen but the dial and the guy who owned it ruined it with that ugly dial.

How much you gonna list it for?
