Need some quick advice on QC pics

Hi. Newbie here - first post.

I was hoping to get some advice on QC pics I've received from a TD for a PAM 388 O Black Seal (Seagull ST2555 movement).

Not being able to include the QC photo makes things difficult but my concern is this - some of the screws visible in the pic of the Seagull movement have slots which appear to be clearly off-centre (poorly manufactured??), another screw appears to be damaged (mangled slot) and some parts of the blued inscriptions on the movement are not clear and crisp (OP logo and some lettering).

The pics on the TD's web site show a much better finished movement.

Am I being too pedantic or is this par for the course with reps?

Ask these questions to your dealer, making comparisons with other pics in catalogues and forum
If you don't like the watch finally, ask for another one.
Bear in mind we are talking about reps, some flaws could be normal

FYI

"You may post a QC pic if you have a specific question about a possible flaw that you have found, and want input on how common or acceptable it is. However, the purpose of QC pics, and especially posting it on the open forum, is not: "Dealer X has sent me this QC pic, what do you think?""

Thanks all for responding so quickly.

I only have a problem with the movement pic. I've circled the offending areas in red.

Those look to be inherent flaws. Meaning, they may show up on other copies of that watch if the dealer will even source additional copies. Besides, they are on the back and probably quite difficult to see in a normal situation.

I agree
Completely normal
You will always find little flaws. Better little visible flaws than serious hidden problems

ALE

That is one of the reasons why the QC pics are forbidden

OK, points taken. Thanks all for you input.

And ALE, I'd like to thank you for your PAM Review Guide. Masterful! If only I'd had teachers who explained things so well.

I have the same prob with one of my pams. I was wondering if sanding it might help?? Or make it worse. Does anyone know how to take the rotor off?

Rwi has modders if you want to improve the watch. Chances you could just make it worse.

It can't be that hard and I would like to learn to do it on my own... its fun !!

like the saying goes " buy a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he eats forever " or something like that lol

yea the sanding part was a bad hypothesis

but I really want to just take the rotor off and I tried spinning the 3 screws of the seagull P.9000 clone and it just spins... doesn't get lose or tighter.. is there an easy way to take it out ?

I dont want to hijack this thread... I opened one here hoping for some help..

Yes I saw it. I have no idea but I think they are false screws, you should remove the cup with the screws trying with an screwdriver and see under it.
But wait for some confirmation

I tried looking online but with no luck..

I'll try to remove the decoration plate with the 4 screws and see if that works but before I do it, Im hoping to hear from some experienced ppl... in no rush to ruin my watch lol.. I wish they had a guide for the seagull movement like they do for the ETA ones with the slides...

Thanks for ur feedback ALE7575
