Hi, I was offered a gen PAM 112 dial and hands, and I need some help confirming its authenticity from the experts here.

If you are not sure of the authenticity move away from the deal.

The Noob dial is anyway so close to gen that if the objective is to build a franken then I would spend my money in other gen parts (e.g., crown guard).

Looks great to me but some of the pam seniors might be able to shine in to be sure ALE7575

The dial fonts seems ok, but to be 100% sure we need to look the back side.

Beautifully soft cutout edges, I vote for gen.
Anyway since the dial is unmounted it should not be a.problem for the seller to take a pic of the back... ;)

Stamping of the dial looks good and i've not seen a rep dial with such good thick print on the Luminor Panerai text. Color looks good too, compared to rep's which is slightly darker. Me vouch for gen.

I agree, the printing and cutouts look good. leaning towards gen, a picture of the back would help to confirm 100%.

Also the seller has balls, he took photos with the dial on an upstairs railing outside balcony doors... one accidental nudge or strong gust of wind and the dial is going to be ruined...

oh yeah , also ask the seller to take a photo with a tag and date, just like you would expect in a sales thread here. better to be on the safe side.

Gen, for sure. As said, printing, rounded cutout, texture... You can ask a pic of the back, but there is no rep dial of this quality, even modded.

I haven't heard back from the seller after I have asked him to send me a photo of the back of the dial, but here is a photo of it from the site where I saw the dial.
To me it doesn't look right, but I could be wrong.

Yup, that's the back of a gen dial. That's one of Vanni's pictures, I recognise it as he always takes the pictures on that box. He's a very highly regarded member of the paneristi community and you should have no worries buying from him.
But I'm guessing you're not buying from him? if it is your first time buying from a seller it's always good to get references and check etc. there are scammers on every forum even gen forums.

It is my first time dealing with Vanni, and I just wanted to be sure the dial is genuine, and he is ok.

oh, you are dealing with Vanni?
I would he is more than ok! lol, seriously a very highly regarded member of the panersiti community. Just google his name and you will find pictures and info on him within the community. pretty sure he has references he can give you for people living in the same country as you that you can contact. First time I bought from him, he gave me three and later I ended buying some parts from one of the references he gave me. I have bought a few pieces from him and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him.

and yes that dial is 100% gen.

Dont worry the dial is 100% gen and Vanni is a trusted member / dealer, one of the most experts and pam collectors in the world.

Guys, thanks for the help, it made my decision very easy, and the dial and hands will be soon at my doorstep. I have also ordered a PAM 005 v4 at Toro, which will be the base watch. Hopefully I can show a very nice Franken 112 soon. This will be my first own Franken PAM build.

Very well mate, you will need of the right movement and the right caseback (and maybe of a Y incabloc mod). I would have ordered a HF Pam 112 with Y incabloc (+ $100), choosing one with the new caseset, last batch.
