Need PAM experts for feasibility of 212 Franken project

I'm looking at the PAM 212 models currently offered by the dealers. Each have their positives and minuses. The Lemania manual wind has a more accurate dial and crownguard and the asia 7750 28.8k is a more accurate movement. Would it be possible to combine the two watches? In other words are the movements interchangeable?

Double check that, time_bandit. The CG on the autos is more accurate, I believe. Plus the auto is available with (supposed) sapphire. The only thing the Seagull powered one has going for it is the dial...

i did the mod last yr..pretty difficult but it's possible.

I'm no expert, az. What are the flaws "on the wrist" now? Anything? Obviously the movement is a "tell".

What mods did you have to do to make the swap?

Dammit, maybe I shoulda kept my old Seagull 212....

it looks great but doesn't get the wrist time it deserves..i shld sell it but have no idea how to price it! haha.

here's what's involved:

sanding of the metal movement spacer of the venus 212 to fit into the 7750 case
removal of the pushers from the 7750 212 and replacing them w the ones from the venus 212
spray matt clear coat on the dial to dull the circular pattern on the subdial
replace the crown stem on the 7750 212's crown w the stem from the venus
align movement spacer properly so that the pushers work.

hell a lot of work and after go tru all that, i don't recommend it cause there're so many things which can go wrong and u're more likely to scratch the mineral crystal/shatter the sapphire crystal when u're realigning the movement spacer.. *i scratched the mineral on mine.. :'(*

azgjav - Excellent work and thanks for sharing this info. I noticed that you stuck with the Lemania movement and used the 7750 case. Is it not possible to just use just the dial from the Lemania watch or is the subdial spacing different between the Lemania and the 7750.

nope, it's not possible. the subdial spacing is different on the venus.
