I been searching around here looking for some info on the "panerai 10 days GMT 1950 aka PAM00270" . Not sure if the numbers are right but I was told that is what I have. It's one of the junk watches I bought and it needs a few parts.
1. How interchangeable are the crystals? Would a "177" crystal fit it? The watch is in great shape. It works as far as time goes. IT has a 21j movement in it and a clear back.
2. Can the GMT time be set? It moves with the time.
3. Does the power reserve work marker work?

Basically I am looking for some info on the watch and what it is susposed to do and then a few items to complete, what I hope will be my first Mod/repair. Granted it isn't a big repair/mod but I'm a noobie to all this so it's a start.
Where might one acquire parts to complete the watch?
Thanks

i'd save all the trouble & money to get a Pam 320(strap) or Pam 329(bracelet) from Angus.. best 1950s GMT available..

just my 2cents worth :)

Cot to start with what I have. then maybe I can go vintage. I just ned some experience tasking apart and putting together and I'd rather not use one of my PAM's that are complete. I'm not that courageous yet. LOL
If anyone has any parts they'd like to donate to my cause or sell cheaply......

Now any info on the PAM GMT watch itself?
