Need help with Jubilee bracelet (Large wrist problem)

I spent the entire week fixated on finding a Datejust 41 (Jubilee bracelet) that I failed to realize something very important; it will not fit me apparently.
Earlier I saw a post from another member looking for additional links because he cant wear his DJ 41.
I have a wrist size of 8inches. I tried searching the forums for a definitive answer but found none.
Can someone please confirm if this is really the case? So in this case, if I ever purchase a DJ41 (Assuming ARF/VSF opens soon), that I should immediately ask for an extra bracelet?

Moreover, I did some research and discovered the Submariners and Sea-dwellers have some sort of adjustment (divers extention?), does this mean I should not worry for these two models?

Thank you for taking the time to read this, we all know procurement takes time, and so I want it done properly.

Man I have messaged so many people in m2m for their DateJust 41. IF the above is true, then I should stop until I find a jubilee bracelet of matching quality.
This watch eludes me. Perhaps I should focus on the larger ones (OR even PAMs on leather) SMH.

Hi there,

I have 18cm wrists (maybe a bit less, but I don't like my bracelets being too tight). So that's approx. 7 inches. I have removed 2 links from the jubilee bracelet of my VSF Datejust which equals approx. 1cm.

If your wrists measure 8 inches (approx. 20,5cm) you might need 5 links more in total than I do. So my guess would be that you need two or three additional links for the standard bracelet. What I don't know is, if all standard bracelets have the same length, I can only speak for the VSF one.

However sourcing additional links should be possible. If I was in your shoes I'd even try aftermarket options or Raffles and don't worry about the quality too much. I doubt that it would look or feel any different. It's only a few links close to the clasp after all.

Also I know of one guy who even bought an extra link in gen. Whilst this is not the cheapest option, it might be a way to make it possible for you to wear your grail watch.

Hope this helps and all the best.

Thanks a lot for this response Plaasbaas. The measurements you mentioned gave me a better idea and it confirms it may really not fit me.
I've ordered a VSF DJ41 but the TD had no extra links. If the price is reasonable I may go with gen links (hoping they would fit the VSF bracelet). Otherwise I would have to wait for someone in m2m willing to sell their VSF jub bracelet.

No offense to anyone but I just cant see myself using a Rubber B for it, I always appreciated the fluted bezel + jubilee combo.

You are welcome. If needed I can take more accurate measurements of the links, if you want to source them separately and need to make sure of the correct size.

And same here. Not a big fan of rubber bracelets in general, with some exceptions where it really goes extremely well with the respective watch.

try wholesaleoutlet on ebay
they may have what you are looking for

had the same issue a while back when ordering a Datejust which barely fit my 8" wrist, fortunately my TD was more receptive and sourced me some spare links

with the Submariner/Seadweller models there should not be an issue as usually the bracelets are long enough and if not spare links are easier to come by with the exception of the newer models (126610/126660/126600) with the wider bracelet that are not that widespread yet

I tend to order a second band for my 8.25 inch wrists and then swap in links as necessary

Thanks for the info. I wonder if those (and their links) will be compatible with a VSF or ARF Jub?

So it’s claimed and generally accepted claim that the same people who make the ARF bracelet have been making the CF bracelets since the time period CF released its hulk v3 about a year or so ago.

I haven’t tested it myself though.

Thanks. In that case it is time to contact Li.
