Need help with discoloration on face

Hi,

Have had this PAM 351 for about a year and love the watch. It seems to go with everything and I adore the look! But there is a small dicoloration forming around the center of the watch face that is starting to bother me. It this possible to be fixed, or does a new face need to be purchased?

That is really weird.

I would suspect that the movement has been over-oiled at some point in time and the oil is creeping onto the dial surface.


I would think one of our dial experts will have a better answer than me.......lets hope someone else chimes in !

To me it looks like the dial is slightly bent like an oval (maybe noticeable also on the date window). Somehow it looks to me like the hour hand was/is lightly but constantly scraping on the dial center and polishing it.
Regardless a new dial can fix this, I´d just use it as is most probably and assume it will stay like this (neither get better nor worse).

Thank you for the replies.
I think I will try to open the case and see if the face is able to be cleaned. I checked the tolerance from the hands to the face and it looks as though there is enough room to not cause them to drag on the face.
