I'd like to buy the blackseal panerai (PAM 183H); for those of you who're experienced, could you please kindly point out the obvious mistakes in this rep? Of the two, which one seems closer to the gen? Is the 183H a friendly model in terms of modification? Thanks a lot guys!

On the back, these watches seem to have a groove-like appearance; is it common among reps? i've seen photos of the gen and they seem to have a flat surface on the back :?

Is it worth spending twice the $ on a swiss movement instead of Asian dagger swan neck UNITAS 6497 movement? From pictures alone, it seems that the Asian movement is more true to the genuine.

Sorry for bombarding you all with so many questions. I know many of you are much more knowledgeable than me in this area and it'll take me months if not years to catch up to your level. Hence, i'm gonna take advantage of the brains here.

i recently bought a 183H from davidsen with swiss unitas. I love it but many tell you here that the asian unitas is just as good and looks "more" accurate.

I went with davidsen but there are others that should be cheaper. I wanted the best lume out of the box, but some others maybe comparable.

If you want the best out-of-the-box Pam, Davidsen seems to be the go-to guy. PM him and ask his opinion of the 183H rep accuracy and modability. He'll steer you in the right direction.

The first thing I noticed on the watch on the right (with the second hand) is that the "6" isn't centered between the "Swiss" and "Made". Personally, that's the sort of thing that would annoy the crap out of me.
